Those SX-60 images appear as good as my SX-50 images. Maybe some of the nay-saying about the -60 is not accurate.

I still have my sx40 and I am going to run a side by side test with it and the sx60. Will post what I find. The ship was about a mile away. I think that a series like I posted might require a lens change on an SLR. So far I am very Happy with the 60, have gotten 10 or so very fine photos. I work in photo at Walmart (at 85) and sell cameras but we have no bridge cameras.
