About 2 months ago I got a quote from these folks for a Canon GS9, $175. I sent it off, 3 weeks later they offer me $148. That camera was new, in the box, extra battery and a case. Not worth arguing about, so took their offer. 3 weeks ago I sent in my Nikon 300mm PF after receiving their offer of $515. Took them 8 days to advise me they had received the lens, and another 8 days to send me their offer: $355. Really?? 3 weeks for them to change their offer on a like new lens, with everything that came in the box, and the box as well. No explanation. I called, waited 15 minutes to talk to someone who had no reason, so I told them to return it.

I personally will never do business with them again. When the lens is returned, I will post it here for $500, then if there is no interest it will go to B&H, who presently have offered $515.

The problem I have been facing regularly is that as I have aged my proven friends, Doctors, retailers, repairmen, etc have died, gone out of business, changed owners and I have to start all over from scratch unable to know whom to trust. KEH was the outfit I told my kids to send my stuff to after I can no longer use it. Now here we go again. Thanks for the update.

This set of responses is a complete laugher. Look at the detail in the metal scratchings in the 100% insets. By f14 it is turning to mush and only gets worse from there. Clearly the deniers have no clue what to look for! No wonder they have not experienced it their own work.

Blenheim, thanks for putting this together.

I never use the CPL so really I don't know. I know it doesn't work as well as a linear and cost more.

A year ago I bought a Tamron 18-200mm lens for APSC cameras. I really liked the Zoom capability but I couldn't take a sharp picture to save my life, even when using a tripod. So, last week I bought a Sony Zeiss 24-70mm full frame lens. What a difference! I can't believe that pictures can be so sharp.
The below picture shows side by side comparison of the same spot, the Aperture, ISO and shutter speed are the same and the distance from the camera to the subject is almost identical.

The zoom ratios are too different for this to conclude anything. In my opinion.

Purchase a 4x6 in each finish and let them choose which they would prefer for their 8x10. Easy peasy.

They are in the process of making our nation that very island, it appears.

EXACTLY!!! But these days where a majority of folks rely on unreliable sources (TIK TOK, FaceBook, etc) for important "facts" disinformation is all the rage and there will be a "reckoning."

Looks like a moth, seems very familiar but I don't hunt for IDs as past efforts were unsuccessful.

We've seen unbelievably low prices before and if selected the outcome is negative/costly.
Also, I have bought from Target & Walmart from their associates with 0% satisfaction. I would NOT even consider such a purchase.

Do yourself a favor and invest in Photoshop Elements. For about $100 or less you will have a tool that is easy to use and learn. It will serve you well for many years.

This looks quite good to me but, for reprinting it likely will need some tweaking to get the best result. Typically scanned images include dust n debris which can take time and effort to remove.

I own a Sony a6000 which has a menu item “Auto Review” that allows you to turn that function OFF (Which is the setting that I use). I can turn that function on and specify how long I want the image to remain on the screen after the exposure. That function may have been set to OFF following the repair, so check that in the menu—might be an easy fix.
