Celsius is used by most of the world and also by scientists. When we hear that sea temperatures have increased by 2° C, some people laugh and think that's nothing. In terms of Fahrenheit, that's 3.6°, and it is significant, especially since the poles are heating up more quickly than the rest of the planet - and ice is melting.

What made me post this was a news article about the excessive heat and lack of water out west.

"...the border in eastern Utah — has warmed more than 2 degrees Celsius, double the global average."

Jerry I moved back to PA in the suburbs of Philly. I was astounded that during the whole winter their
was not snow only a morning dusting that blew away. Times had an article about how people survive around the world with the heat they are expierencing around the world. We had better wake up.

This is a great post "Sony." Many of use buy stuff that may be good. I was still making some money up until the virus. So I had an excuse. Most of my work was run and gun video at sporting events and some advertising and creative video for myself. I have had cameras mostly Nikons all my life. The video thing (Sony has been my hero in this) is move the camera and look like a movie for docs etc. What I found in doing a Triathlon and the events that good hand helded and movement was the answer. Their jibs and the motion
devices that work somewhat depends on what you shoot. My stills are just me and a monopod sometimes
with a Sony a7sII the RX10 24 600 bridge camera. The Sony 6300. The RX100 4 and PWX X70 10 bit Video camera. I must have 25 things to mount balance the camera etc. Their seems to be a movement in the photo
forums in my news list that are pushing the small camera and (maybe a leica or like a high quality
mirrorless or SLR of some of the fan favorites. I think what many of us do is experiment.
Korea makes Rokinon cine lens which are cheap and pretty good. Never would have had a
set without the Asian gear that is good.
I think your gear is just fine.
That said tech is so out-of-control that it is a nightmare. Good things it can do have been replaced
by obsession. Good luck put your stuff in a nice closed closet with shelves and move on.

Be aware the mess of name brand (I have a Sony flash) and Godox triggers and flashes.
Some work with each other many don't. It is very much a mess. That said the recent flashes
from China are great for the price. I suggest shooting manual and adjusting test till you
have the look you want. China, South Korea have made great gear in the last few years.
I couldn't afford cine lens so i bought Rokinon 4 different fields. Very affordable.
i have a Godox (I believe) the 200 self contained power flash that you can hand hold
or have an assistant for just put anywhere and strobe powerfully.
Good luck.

I have the 70 200 F4 Sony. Surprise to me how great this lens is. I put it on a7s II. Yes you gentlemen are talking about Nikon gear. But the real story is what lens you use. I found the 70 200 great at a girls soccer game. Never use it much. But I think a 16 to whatever 35, 70 etc could be your most used lens. Depends on what you shoot.
Good luck.

I just bought this camera brand new a couple of weeks ago and, well it's just not for me. Too too small for my hands. I bought several extras that I will also include. Two Wasabi batteries (3 altogether) and a cordless charger. Supplemental shutter button, LCD screen cover and the supplemental grip, all 3 already installed. $950 for everything, plus $20 for shipping that will include insurance. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!!

Glad you sold your camera Steve. Thanks for the note. Don't give up on Sony's.
I have the RX10 III bridge with 24-600 lens. The Sony A7s II an amazing mirrorless.
I still like the RX100 4 and love the imagery and video from this series of cameras.
With the RX100 first one I was hired to shoot a triathlon at the beach. I just go the
camera and shot around town and during the event. Early in the morning when
Tri participants where getting their gear together in darkness the RX100 took great
shot pushed on automatic. I included them in the final edit.Good Luck.

A great clear intelligent answer to a rambling bunch of quotes. In recorded history 300-500 million
people have died from p******c's.

We all remember network TV which I cant say I have watched lately. The 3 commercials at the breaks
that everybody watched and was impatient to see if Mary Lou kissed on her first date.
Their is a reason for different kinds of commercials. During news usually big corporate telling
you they are big and you might want to buy thier stock. Institional spots keeping their power
by showing up. Influencing building. Most youtube posters want you to follow them and to build
a big number of watchers. Please let me know by checking you liked this video.
For youtubers or facebookers building a big following to make money.

Additional info: I have been following photography most of my life. As a young Art Director in NY worked as an agency Asst. Art Director and worked with image makers like Pete Turner. Being in advertising and graphics
I was around imagery and Art Direction. I follow the high end imagery and the fill the wall places. Have gone to Art Basil for a few years. Follow other sites like Saatchi and just Art.com. And research online and ask questions. Observation is probably the best way to make decisions.
I had a tragedy recently my wife had a bad cath and is now parazlyzed from a stroke. I have been working
on this print business for 5 years prep. I now would like to retail and make a few bucks to help
with the large out-of-pocket for my wifes disability.

Well their is nothing wrong with have gear in your life. I had 4 bikes. Many cars and 6 sailboats and
now I am in my 70's. Camera gear is usually easy to sell. I have sold camcorders and camera's and lens
for years on ebay etc. Usually got back 50-70% of the original price. This is a great way to upgrade
and return some cash. Camera's sell well online. Good stuff almost always sells to people who follow
camera gear. I love Nikons still do. But on the way to London I bought a Sony NEX camera small and
well built. I was astounded what this camera could do. That led me to the A7, A7s and A7sII and an
XDCamcorder and many camera's over years that were a joy to play and work with. Good luck.

I am asking what is your experience or research in what sells better. B&W or color.
I would like to do larger printers for home walls and collectors of interesting images and photo illustration.
Thanks for the comments more are welcome.
PS statistics right or wrong or skewed are how the world and marketing work.
Algorithms are ruling decisions and promotions in most of our life
and you may know this or not. Census controls how much you get from
the government and services.

I am stuck on b&w and a bigger size. Statistics say color and 5x7 / 8x10 are the most sold.

The company I loved and still admire is having some breakdowns. From the 2 D800's I bought
one for a ridiculous price to shoot videos. I had trouble with the card reading. They admited
to this problem. It had a focus flaw. Strange the 2 shutters didnt sound anything like each other.
I will always love my Nikons, D300 D700 and from the 80's the cabinet full of them for an
AV company I owned. I hope their new generation of mirrorless brings them back.
They were late to join in. I think the storm that a took out the nucluer plant had
something to do with their biz.

You can get a new camera for another 100 bucks. I have most of the stuff included have had
many RX100's stayed with the 4. Only thing missing was audio port I shoot a lot of video.
Not sure what Sony was thinking make this like small pocket camera have the specs of its best mirrorless camera. Go figure. Their have been some posts about it's ergonomics on a camera site.
Good luck if the price changes let me know. Tom

Sometimes I shoot jpeg for convenience. Sometime both jpeg an raw so
if I want to make a lot of adjustments I can use the raw shot.
I pull shots off of my 10 bit Sony cam and screen grab some good
frames from the event. I find Photoshop is easy to tweak for PR.
Today now is a winner. Clients love the shots right after the shoot.
Stay safe.
