Amazon never sends me offers, and I'm a prime member. Are you sure it is legit? Log onto Amazon and search for the product rather than clicking a link or opening an attachment.

This is good advise. Amazon shouldn't be sending offers like this.

Block them. Just remember, your feelings should only be hurt by people that matter to you.

Robert Hall performed an extensive test on the Flashpoint Xplor 300 Pro and T1 Flash duration was part of the testing. According to his figures, the flash performed better than the specs touted by the manufacturer. Here's a YouTube link and I've included a screen capture to his finding for quick reference. I do know you can display the T1 duration on the back of the monolight. To take full advantage of the T1 duration you need to turn off the color correction.

I'd prefer certified check Julian. I don't have a paypal account and using that service will force me to sell the light less than my cost.

Over Christmas, Adorama had a sale for a pair of Flashpoint XPLOR 300 Pro TTL R2 Battery-Powered Monolights. I'd like to split this package and I have one of the XPLOR 300's available. It's brand new essentially with only 20 pops. I tested the unit including it's features to ensure that once sold, the unit would be without any issues.

The regular price for the Flashpoint XPLOR 300 Pro TTL R2 Battery-Powered Monolight is $499.00

https://www.adorama.com/fplfx300ptb.html

This sale isn't about making money. It's just a matter of breaking even with splitting the package.

Price is firm at $399.00 shipped. No post boxes please

Check/Paypal. Please allow time for the check to clear before I ship. I've sold 2 items on UHH with a 100% satisfaction. Long standing members on UHH will be considered first. Sorry, I'm just being careful.

Further information can be found at https://www.adorama.com/fplfx300ptb.html

It weighs in around 3 lbs and will fit in a camera backpack easily. It's a great balance of features and power in a small package.

Below is a list of features (thanks Adorama)

Sorry, I shoulod have said regular batteries - LIKE Duracell, or rechargeables… bc rechargeables have a reputation of not being the best choice for lighting controller- transceiver devices. My bad. That's what I get for dashing off the bus & then dashing off my posting w/out proofing what I wrote.

It's best to check the manual as to what type of batteries to use. As an example, I'm using a Cybersense Remote for my Buff Einsteins and you can choose between Alkaline or Ni-MH in the menu.

For occasional light work, a 910 would be more than sufficient but an Einstein is a studio light instead of a flash. The Einstein will give you a little over 3 more stops of light to work with and give you the advantage of a modelling light. I own several Einsteins and a couple of Godox lights. Adorama sells Godox's rebrand called Flashpoint. Personally, I find the Bowens mount on the Godox light less finicky than Buff's Balcar mount. The spring clips have issues with heavy modifiers.

I'd look a little more seriously at the Godox AD series. It supports HSS, TTL and has a built in battery instead of cords. The Einsteins do not.

Is it just me or do others see a lot noise in the shadows, even in the original, but especially in the cropped image?

Definitely a lot of noise in the shadows. It could have been pushed in post and originally underexposed.

It looks like there is a firmware update for Godox flashes which can "fix" this issue: https://petapixel.com/2019/05/06/godox-flash-firmware-updates-bring-support-for-canons-crippled-cameras/. Not that that does you any good. Perhaps other manufacturers will follow suit.

Thanks for sharing that Mark. I was unaware of it being addressed. Good to see Godox has an answer.

Several others models have been crippled with the center pin removed from Canon (T7 & SL3). Unfortunately, I haven't found a solution to this dilemma when integrating third party flashes. If flash photography is really important to you *it most certainly is for me*, you best bet is to send the camera back *if you can* and find a compatible model. I'm sorry I couldn't be more help.

The best way to find out what it is for, is to throw it away. In three days, you will not only find out what it is for, but you will have to go out and buy one just like it, or the expensive thing it goes on won't work at all! (Just my experience, probably no one else's...)

Too funny :)

I've tried to coordinate the two but nothing seems to be working. I'm guessing they are not compatible. I am willing to buy new receivers and transmitters if it's not to expensive.
Thanks for your thoughts Kenneth.

If you're willing to go with manual adjustments, the most reliable and relatively inexpensive would be what CO recommended originally.

1 CST2 & 1 CSRB+ from Buff for ONE light. If you want two use an additional light, that would require an extra CSRB+.

You will need a sync cable as a go between the light and the CSRB+. I use this combination when I want to trigger a speedlight.

The transmitter (CST2) is feather light on top of the hotshoe. I'd look on ebay if you want to hunt for a bargain.
