I took a shot of the State Capital dome from the inside.
it was not easy holding the camera over the balcony and shooting up, and in available light.

I hope you dontmind me trying to enhance the photo.
I use Microsoft digital Imaging.
First, i bumped the resolution up to 150, than I decreased the hue and saturation a tad. I than dusted the photo to complete it.
This was the best I could do to decrease th grain.
I hope you like it :-)

BTW I always delete the image that I work on. :-)

I dont believe for a sec that you are off,Tilde.
I have seen many of your comments and do believe that you are right on. It is also truew that color composition is a matter of choice. I have found people that like their portraits more red than usual and other that like them more on the pale side. My opinion.

Way to go, Joy.
I for one believe that any encouragement is good, especially for newbies.
A lot of people see the bad in things, I like to encourage a person to move on.
as long as ones thoughts are positive, it will make a photographer (Newbie) do their best to do better and not give up.

I have not contributed much in this forum. However, I folow most of the threds regularly /daaily I myself would not place a photo that I consider one of a kind aand unuque.
We can post almost any photo we like here for discussions and critique. So I ask,why would anyone post a photograph that they intend to sell to a major magazine, or National Geograpghjic? Come on folks I enjoy this site and the learning curve we can give each other, I am still learning and I have been photogrpahing since i was 12 years old. I am over 60 and still learning. I love this community and hope for the best for it.

Iuse a 85-200 tele lense on my Sony Alpha. I have taken shots of family groups on our special ocassions. They have come out pretty good, and sharp. Mind you , not the extremly sharp I really want for everyone. for the most parft they are sharpand acceptable to the family I have given them to.
My lense is usually set at f8 or 11 and shutter at 60 sec
I hope this helps.

note: I have done many groups since i was 25 and is now over 60 in age and have never gotten an extremly sharp photo of everyone in a group of 6 or more.

Most large Camera tores will buy used film cameras and flah and acessories. Just dont feel tobad about what they will give for them. The market has really dried up for film cameras, so the prices are low. consider this, I have a Minolta 700si, Minolta 9xi, 2 Milonta 5400he flases.
you can get all of this for around 450.00 on amazon or most camera stores now. all my equipment at like new condition and i was quoted 75.00 for them. I have gone to the local stores and online and they differ around 10%

Just leting you know.

Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It did not cross my mind that a photo forum would bring up so much controversy.
I being a very open minded person.
However, diversity among us will bring up different feelings and thoughts.
I do applaude the administrator for his/her work on this forum, I for one would not like to be in his position.

If this keeps up,I would not be surprised to see the ACLU making comments on this page <ROFL>
My opinion :-)

Just a thought about the comments.
I think that a thread that say "Boudoir" might be interesting. That way anyone that want to follow the thread can, and the ones that may find it not apropriate can just not join the thred.
Just my humble opinion.

Not a Relegious fanatic, but do wish the best for everyone.

As a photographer that has shot a lot of the human body. Very successfully, I might add. and Have always stopped at the point I consider Porn instead of Art. I would like to add my 2 cents. There is nothing wrong with that kind of art form, I just think that a site that is in the nature of General public is indeed a welcome place. I have had a very hard time locating such a site as this. for what it is worth, please keep this site "General Public"

May God Bless :-)
