Oh no, my Seagate external drive seems to have crashed taking years of work with it. My computers do not recognise it, it makes a whirring and clicking noise that it never did before and just will not open. It has not had a power surge as I always keep it unlpugged.
Any helpful suggestions PLEASE!

I have the SX 50 and love it and have great results from it, but it is slow compared to using an SLR. I have a Nikon D40 that I love also but the lenses are soooo expensive but I enjoy the speed of that.

Do you miss that middle part of the lens set up? That was one of the things that the photographer said she did.
Thanks for your input,

What lenses do you have with your T3? Did it come as a 'kit'.

Oh yes of course she does a lot of things. But she said it was the first event like this she has covered and is primarily a videographer. But of course you have to know just when to hit the shutter button!

At least I think it was a T2 or T3?
Anyway, hello all.
I was at a dog event this weekend and the photogpraher was using a Rebel I think T2. She said she got the kit for about $500?
The results were amazing. These were fast moving dogs and handlers. It was inside a gymnasium, totally articifial light. She got excellent pictures of difficult subjects.
Any comments on this camera?
Thanks,
Wendy

Thanks for the information on the program, it sounds like what I need but am not sure at this time if the investment for a few DVD's for Christmas will be worth it? I emailed the the show I made to my brother and he could open it with no problem. But I don't think my 80 something old Auntie in Yorkshire would be able to do this. I have a freind visiting next month. I may try to save in other ways and send a bunch of DVD's back with her for my brother to critique again with more sarcastic comments on the subject matter - pictures of his sister!
Thanks,

I really wonder if there are Xray scanners inthe mail system some where that would do anything to it?

Wow thanks for all of that information. Our DVD player is region free also and it played OK in that?
I will certainly investigate all of those links.
What I do not understand is why it played on a windows laptop here and not in England? Does it matter where the computer is? I thought laptops and windows were international?
Also please what is 25fps?
Thanks for your reply,

Hello all.
Well after I thought about making books for Christmas I came up with what I thought was a brilliant idea of making DVD's containing movie clips. They were made in Windows Movie Maker. I made a test DVD. It worked on our 3 laptops and played on the DVD player (that also plays the British system.) I happily mailed off to my brother in in England the test one I made. A week later he emailed me last night and said it played very slow with no sound...........aaaggghhh. My brilliant idea crushed! But why I ask?
So help is asked for please.
What format should I save it in? Is it the program? Does anyone know of an international user friendly movie maker program? Any and all suggestions welcome.
Thank you so much.

I had forgotten about Red River Paper that I used before. Thanks for that reminder. I do have a binding machine also.
BUT I just had a brilliant thought, wow, what about putting it on to a DVD with a movie maker program? I do have one of these but am not sure if it will work with the overseas system?
Make something and send it to my brother in England for a test run I suppose.
Any other thoughts welcome.
Thanks,

Hello all.
I hope you are having a good memorial day weekend.
I am thinking ahead now to Christmas. I usually make photo calendar books for my friends and family and have them printed through a drug store and they come out well. But I was wondering about doing the entire thing myself as you are somewhat limited to page design. I know I will need double sided matte photo paper for a canon printer, or another paper type? Any ideas for on-line sites for this? They would probably be half page. I need to come up with ways to bind the pages or put them together to make a book, don't know how many pages yet. Just thinking at this point,I would like to try, or is it back to the drug store?

Thanks for you replies. I found out that WMM can only be saved to share on a DVD and that worked for what I needed for this one, but going forward I will have to use another program.
As always thanks all for responding.
