Well done. Our flyover yesterday was canceled.
Why was it cancelled- weather?
A few days ago, the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds flew over NYC. A short while later, they flew over Trenton, NJ and Phila. I was standing on the banks of the Delaware across from Trenton. I thought the flight plan said they were going to fly straight down the river but they were farther away than I expected. This was the best I could do with my 400mm lens
First, let me preface this by saying I am 53, still working, I have 3 kids, and not a lot of time (until now). I have been a UHH faithful since 2010, rarely missing a day. Most days, I spend about 5 minutes on UHH, skimming through topics that interest me. I look at the thumbnails, read the comments, and try to learn something new everyday.
But now, with more time on my hands, and my point of this, is that I spend more time on UHH. And especially, viewing the downloads of a photo (on my 25 inch desktop screen) instead of just the thumbnail. The large download really brings a photo to life and allows me to enjoy it 10X more than just looking at the thumbnail.
So, thanks, coronavirus, for forcing me to slow down.
Thanks, Linda for solving my problem.
I also thank you for making this section my favorite part of UHH.

If this is what you're looking for, I will happily provide a tutorial. Basically it's a simple copy/paste + moving, using layers, and was far quicker than I envisioned when I read "stitching." Sorry, Bebu
Linda, this is exactly what I want it to look like! Thank you to you and to everyone who chimed in.
P.S. So now I need to know how you did it. Also, Bebu, your results look good as well.

This was the result I got after reducing your file to just 100 pixels on a side, then putting on top of a blank 3000x3000 file, then dragging the edges to cover the bottom file. Doing a simple blur is quicker and easier
Hi Linda
Blurring is not what I am looking for. I tried that already. Imagine you have a "zoom" slider that starts at zero and you can slide it to the right to zoom in. Well, what if you could bring the slider back past zero and into "negative zoom"- moving the slider to the left instead of to the right. That is what I think I am trying to do.
Not sure if this is the correct place to post, but let's say I have an image like this. I thought this would make a nice texture as a background. But it is too magnified. How to I "unmagnify" it, or "un-crop" it- zoom out instead of zooming in? P.S. I have PSE. Thank you.
The download is outstanding!
I am a small business owner and am struggling, but I still thought it was funny and creative. I know things are very bad in the real world but that doesn't mean we have to be grim 100% of the time.

The original was not a photo. It was a 6 x 6 image divided into 9 equal squares with different colors in each square. It was created in CS6. the eye was added from another of my photos.
Interesting starting point.
This is my second attempt. First go around had too much noise- had to figure out a way to decrease the ISO, which was at 12800. All I had for a light was a tiny hand held LED flashlight. Very little processing done. Thank you to LMG who originally inspired me to try this.
I think this is pretty cool. I am always interested to see the original photo.
Is it closed because of the Virus or the weather?
All I have to say is NO FRICKIN WAY!. 10/10 on the creativity and execution.
