I have sold my Nikon D800E and moved up to the Nikon D850. I am selling the VELLO BG-N7 Battery Grip I used with it. I bought it new and it is in very good condition. The sale includes all the original parts and pieces, including the box. Original price was $100. It's for sale for $40. DM or email me if interested. Payment by PayPal preferred.
Pablo Picasso is believed by many to have said: “Good artists copy, great artists steal!”
Other attribute the quote to TS Eliot.
Why not just use Lightroom and Photoshop?
I traded in my d600 for the d800, (plus some $$), and I have never looked back. The d800 is a great camera. You will enjoy it! Congratulations.
Great! Thanks for the suggestion. I will make a note of it! We will have access to a car and we should have the time to do day trips. I'll post any good shots.
Great suggestion. I have heard it is an amazing place. Unfortunately, I don't think we will get there...we will be way far north. I have feeling we will be spending a lot of time in Cocibamba and La Paz. Thanks for the reply.
LOL! No, I am not planning on sharing body fluids unless I get lucky with my spouse, but your advice is appreciated greatly. Thanks again!
Thanks! I have gotten the Hep A shot and the first of the Hep B shots, with the second one scheduled for later this month. I had heard about the pickpockets and the altitude issues, so I have medication for the later ( no cure for the former!) I'm thinking about the straps. Thanks again!
My wife and I are going to Bolivia this summer attend a wedding in the city of Cocibamba. If any of my fellow hogs have been to the city or the country, I would appreciate any tips you can offer. I am planing to take my Nikon 800e and d7000 as a back up, plus the trinity zooms (14-24, 24-70, 70-200). This will be mostly a pleasure trip (I hope) but would like to get some keeper images. I am a very eclectic photographer and enjoy capturing all kinds of images. I was recently in Cuba and mostly did street photography, and it worked out great. I might do the same on this trip, but I am open to suggestions and opportunities. Thanks in advance for your feedback!
Excellent suggestion. Thanks!
LOL! What would a do with a bloody arm and leg! :-D
Thanks mtbear. I have a friend who charges $600 for a half day and $1,000 for a full day, and that includes setup, breakdown and PP. She is a pro and I am not. I'm not really comfortable charging pro prices-yet. I appreciate your suggestion!
Fellow Hogs:
I have been asked by a friend to do a shoot for his company website. He has a small but rapidly-growing engineering firm and wants pictures of his workers on the jobsite and of his new corporate offices. Photography is not my main line of work, but I have built up a nice small side business in my area doing shows and shooting sunsets, sailing shots, local scenes and travel pictures (you can see my work at www.frankparisiphotography.com.) I have done some work like this, but never on this scale. I figure the shoot will take me at most a day (8 hours) and the processing about half that time. I welcome your suggestions on whether to: 1) charge by the hour, and if so how much per; or 2) charge for the whole job, and if so how much. Thanks!
Hey Frank. Nice to meet you. You should be at the Shore today. The weather is great!
