Hi
Using an IMac OS 10.10.5, Used Nikon View nx2 for years with no issue. Downloaded NXI. downloaded and was able to find my old files. When viewing files all is ok in the thumbnail mode, but when I click on edit or double click the image to view it full screen . the image appears normal for a few seconds then it changes to an HRD/oversaturated image. I am able to make changes to the image but never get it back to normal, If I try to save or convert the image to a jpeg or Tiff the image reverts back tho normal.
I have uninstalled the program & reinstalled it several times. I have looked at the preferences to see if some setting is out of wack....N/g All my files are affected old & new. ( taken with different Nikons ). I believe their some thing wrong with the application.. NO help from nikon...
Please help if you can... Have consider upgrading from 10.10.0 to El Capatin to see if that helps.
Thanks

First off, have you checked to make sure your iMac has enough horsepower to run NX-i? The OS you have is ok, but it requires core i5 intel processor & a video card of at least 128mb ram on the card.
I checked & all is good, I can run Nikon View NX2, photoshope CC & lightroom & Nikon NXD. With no issues. All other Nikon programs are OK. & NXI is ok in thumbnail only issue is when you try to view image in full view. ( NX-D is fine in full screen ).
Thanks for your ideas.

Joe, what happens if you select a thumbnail, go to VIEW on top of page and select FULL SCREEN? From there you should be able to access the edit functions on the right side of the screen.
Why not just use Lightroom and Photoshop?

I also use a Mac and completely gave up on the Capture Nx-D, View Nx-I pair about 18 months ago. I found them very problematic and also found no help from Nikon. I switched to Lr CC and my problems disappeared. Best of luck.
Thanks for all the replies, No matter what route I take to view the thumb nail the result is the same .( normal thumb nails---Full screen altered, bizarre oversaturate image ).
I Liked using View NX2 and thought that NXI would be the logical choice to use with my D5 files.
May just use Lightroom & adobe camera raw....
Would like to find a fix.
Thanks
Joe.

Very puzzling problem. I have zero experience with Mac so I am kind of at a loss as to where to look for a solution.
Have you, perhaps, tried a different computer? Gotten the same results? Is the version of NX - i that you have the latest? If you are using a previous version from an older camera you might have problems that were solved in newer editions. Another thought, have you tried editing files from another Nikon camera?
I'm not sure that any of my questions will solve your problem, but hopefully they will steer you in the right direction to find a solution.
Hi.
Well after 5 phone calls ,numerous emails and posting to forms the issue is solved.. Kinda my fault... The issue was with the express keys on my Wacom tablet.. One of the keys was set to delete. With the new program NXI , when this express key was pressed it caused this weird filter to be applied. The supervisor at Nikon support knew that some weir filter was applied & told me how to uncheck it. I figured it out that it was the express key.....Reprogramed the express key,now all is well. Kudos to Nikon support for the help.
Lessons learned, Check, check & recheck.
Thanks for all your ideas
Joe.

Glad you got it solved, but I still don't care for the software.
Its a like a comfortable pair of shoes... point to start , expand to Photoshop,Topaz & Onone from their.
