Amazing! Another lesson in patience!

Thank you. I think that my photography has improved over the years as I have have earned more patience. The whole snap and run thing just does not yield good results. You have to wait to find the right light, the right composition and it all takes time.

A couple of weeks ago we had a light show over the Everglades as a storm rolled in. This time I was in almost the right place.

This is a 30 second exposure when one hope there will be a lightening strike when the shutter is open.
This time Fate was smiling on me :-)

Thanks for looking.

Outstanding as always! Thanks.

Excellent shot. I do not need to remind you that photographing in the Everglades with a storm could be dangerous to your health. Not many places to hide for protection.
I visit the Everglades often since I am not that far from it and lucky enough I have never been there during a storm.
Lightning in South Florida is responsible for some casualties every year.

WOW!! Beautiful capture.

I use the same method for capturing lightning. It takes a lot of long exposures until you finally get that one in the camera's FOV. It is often accompanied with lousy, cold and windy weather. Definitely an investment in patience.
