A great shot. And all of us know how a little luck can bring a rewarding result.

How right you are. But I'll take luck every time.

Excellent shot. I do not need to remind you that photographing in the Everglades with a storm could be dangerous to your health. Not many places to hide for protection.
I visit the Everglades often since I am not that far from it and lucky enough I have never been there during a storm.
Lightning in South Florida is responsible for some casualties every year.

Since you live here you know that the everglades are very flat and you can see forever. This storm was a long way off. I was back in the car before the storm hit.

Glad you liked the shot.

WOW!! Beautiful capture.

I use the same method for capturing lightning. It takes a lot of long exposures until you finally get that one in the camera's FOV. It is often accompanied with lousy, cold and windy weather. Definitely an investment in patience.

You sound like you have had a lot of experience with this type of shot. How well I know of what you speak. But every now and then---it all comes together.

Thanks so much for commenting. Glad you like the shot.

Wow, yes indeed, Fate was smiling on you. A once in a life time shot.

Thanks. You should be able to get some good lightening shots out in Arizona.
