While we’re talking PENTAX, I would like to put in my 2 cents. While vacationing in Vietnam (courtesy of the U.S.tourism department of the military) in 68 &69, I bought one of the first “SLR” cameras ever made in Japan. A Pentax spotmatic. It was marvelous. I had it for over 20 years, but finally sold it to a fellow “SAILING pal”, in the late 90s. After a brief stint with CANON (also a great way to go) I went back to PENTAX. AND I’m lovin’ it... Right now I have quite an array of gear. So much in fact, I find that some of it has been IGNORED. Go to our sales department, cuz I’m listing my K-01 and my K-5 with a vertical grip. A prime example of why I continue to rave about PENTAX, is the fact that the Pentax K-1 full frame , is considerable less money for more camera, than many full frames out there. I love it, and Pentax glasss is as good as many, & better than some/ certainly ubiquitas and Omni-present. Same mount for years. RJM

I purchased a Spotmatic with nifty 50 1.4 at TSN in late ‘67. Still have it, but gave up film in early ‘90s when digital hit the streets. Great camera.
