The Golden Years. (might be a little sensitive to some)
That doesn't sound very good, does it? : )
As you age you don’t quit your vices; your vices quit you.
No it doesn't Jerry
Gives the younger folk a heads up as to what to look forward to as soon as they blink.
At 80 I am noticing the "sock" and the "one we do not want to lose most," both in the last six months. But I credit the good medicine of my camera's, both now and in the future, as I strive to take better pictures each day.
The people that tell you how wonderful the golden years are, have no clue because they're not anywhere near the golden years. lol.
Humorous doggerel depicting later years for men. But in seriousness, a partial remedy for men exists:
(1) testosterone replacement therapy -- it restores male vigor and libido. See your urologist.
(2) Cialis and Viagra -- the two pills together treat the condition of erectile dysfunction, helping a man to achieve an erection suitable for sex play. Again, see your urologist.
I speak from experience. These treatments have made me a new man.
Good luck.

My sister in law gave a shirt to me when I turned sixty last year.
It says:
The Golden Years
I cannot see!
I cannot pee!
I cannot chew!
I cannot screw!
My memory shrinks!
My hearing stinks!
No sense of smell!
I look like hell!
My bodies drooping!
Have trouble pooping!
Yes, The Golden Years Have Come At Last
The Golden Years can.....
Kiss My Ass!!!
I am glad it's just the hearing for me so far. :-)

After a life of physical labor my body is in revolt. As my pop said, it’s only pain, get used to it. The advice my mom gave was a bit more cerebral, she said “I take aging as a science experiment, everything moves around like the tectonic plates of earth and the land reforms in some very strange ways.”
We have wrong in this country of ours! These are our Golden Years! Enjoy life now while we can! Who knows if you will be able to latter in life. And it doesn’t have to cost money, and if does, it will cost more money later in life with less money.

Turning 64 this year, have 2 new hips and a reconstructed back. Should be good for another 64 yrs if my knees hold out! LOL
That's funny, but true, mostly.
I think a lot of that is anticipation rather than reality! When I was 60 none of it was trie, best I can remember! Now that I’m almost 98, I wear hearings aids. Hang in there! Getting older is quite a ride!
You-all are talking about 60's.
I turn 80 this month and my honeymoon isn't over yet.
Been married for 52 years so far.
You bragging or complaining?

Neather, just adding a fact that life when you are older doesn't ruin it.
But it's been a grand ride!
