Wow! Brent. Another great surfer set. I don't know if you intended this to be a popularity contest on the images, but we are conditioned to pick our favorites. That being said, I really like #3, #5, and #9 for the pose and the wave action, but once again, you add one shot that brings out the artist. The last shot is that image. Beautiful Brent. Click Click.

One thing I have found out over the years of photographing surfers is that the pros SHRED! They surf far better than the average recreational surfer and it reflects in the photos by the amazing rooster tails they throw in their radical turns. These are much better viewed in download mode.
Oh my, you seem to outdo yourself every time you appear. Brent you keep it going no matter what sir.
Keep it up!
Awesome pics or as you say “gnarly”...Paul

Brent,
One more you have posted a stellar set of surfings photos. The energy and action you have captured convey the excitement of the sport. But I also like the quietness and beautiful color of the final shot. Bravo. jak
Another great set, Brent, made even more spectacular by the skill of these pros!

A truly fabulous set Brent. You nailed the rooster tail theme here. Always a treat to watch the pros at work!

Great set Brent. The true pros in any sport are amazing and will put any normal human in their place without saying a word. Most of them are very humble and a pleasure to be around. vz
Good point vonzip. The pros in any sport always seem to make it look soooooooo easy. That's years of training and practicing to make it look that easy.

Very nice shots Brent! Im sure your pulse quickens when you are shooting pro's.
Shooting the pros actually makes it much easier to capture great shots. Often times I just put my camera on what I call "machine gun mode" and shoot away. Thanks for the kind words fergmark.

Fantastic action photography set, Brent. As a landscape shooter, I especially love the last photo of the couple on the deserted beach; it has a beautiful, dreamy quality. On a 7 degree day in NJ, I need to dream warm beach.
joehel2, I have some not so helpful news for you: Notice how EVERY photo (including that last shot) the surfers are wearing FULL wetsuits! The water is actually a bit chilly!
Thanks joehel2 for the nice compliments on the photos.

When looking at minus degree weather to looking at people surfing...I'll take the surfing anytime lol.
Just remember fourg1b2006, each of those surfers are wearing FULL wetsuits. That should give you a clue that the water is NOT like something from Tahiti or Hawaii!
Granted, the temps are higher than minus degrees but still not ideal!
