Walls like that are effective when manned with military RoE that allow shoot to kill. Those walls are smaller and much easier to patrol. Our wall is estimated to cost a minimum of $4 million per mile not to mention on-going cost of manning and maintenance. I don’t want my tax money wasted on this non-solution when there are better, more cost-effective solutions.
I didn't want my tax money building a wall in Jordan either. Money is not the issue and 4 million per mile is nothing in a 413 trillion dollar budget. Since the border patrol, ICE and other agencies want a wall and say it will definitely help, I think they have more information than you do.
Below is the statistics for just the criminal illegals in this country for the last 3 years. One would have to be insane to think having those criminals in the country is a good thing, or that building a wall is a bad thing. Illegals cost us 155 billion a year, I guess you would rather pay that than put up a wall? Border arrests exceed 50 thousand per month, but I guess you would rather pay for that then put up a wall? Even if it was 25,000 a month, that is a lot of illegals. We need a wall and technology to keep them out.
