Just some USN aviation pictures.
I took a lot of slides while on the Shang and only scanned them about 6 years ago.Spent about a month's wages on a Nikon photonic Tn with a 1.4 lens.Continued to take slides till 1989.If in focus look great even on a 28 inch monitor. Some of the film looks a little grainy, mostly used Agfa 50ASA.

Love the P3, was a flight engineer on them from 1968 to 1975 in VP91 at Moffett Field. It was the best aircraft, out of the many, I crewed on during my Navy service.

Nice to be where the action is. Excellent captures. Like the third and last pictures.
I wasn't expecting a reply and don't have any photos on my tablet but will for you. These were from 1968 in the Mediterrean.
Nice collection. Just like the C130, the P3 has not been replaced.
I flew on to the Shang(coming back from a school) and took off to go to school in the C1A pictured. I saw the C2A while I was active, a turboprop.
soon as I saw that Phantom on the Starboard cat I knew these were vintage photos. Very nice. Thanks for posting them!

Great shots.
I was ship's company (OS) aboard the USS Oriskany CV 34 from 72-76.
A proud member of the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club!
Oriskany is now the world's largest artificial underwater reef off of Pensacola Fl.
Now you have me wanting to dig out all my old Navy photos and get them scanned in and organized (darn ya).
Hey dv, that black and white of 501 is exquisite. What a great shot! Thanks for posting.
