Lets put it this way and attempt to contact me, I'll not go into detail about my experience with all of these retailers. While they may check into all the forums from time to time under their official accounts and as an official retailers name. the fact remains that not all of their staff feels or acts the same way. While these retailers appear all wholesome on the forums.. once you're off the forums in contact with them. You ushered around stalls from one customer support to another.

NONE of the sales/support staff are made aware of your concerns or issues due to lack of communication. Several times I've been told lies and when I relayed these lies to the public, thinking I had some great information to share with others, I was made to look like a fool or was set up by these third rate retailer to look like a scapegoat.

The only good thing that will come from my comments, is that these third party retailers will learn from their mistakes knowing what they did to me and others like be who maybe afrid to step forward with their experiences and not show the perspective customer a sign that something like what I went though would ever happen to them.

I just happen to be one of those ex-customers (1/100000) with a bad experience and there's absolutely nothing any of these retailers can say or do to have this corrected. I've given them ample time to oversee these issues and correct them. But they did nothing but refer to me as an idiot. Does this sound like a customer support you want working for you when their own staff refers to their customers as idiots or other names which I'll not disclose. So good luck with your purchase

Take a look at all the other comments in this thread. Do you not see a trend. As I said, and stand by the fact, that these are all highly reputable dealers even though you indicate you've had terrible experiences with all of them. To be sure a small number of people have problems that are never resolved to their satisfaction. But that percentage is tiny compared to all the satisfied customers, and in your case you seem to be in that very small percentage for the three most reliable and respected online sites in the country, KEH, B&H and Adorama. And although I have no experience with Crutchfield, you've had problems with them as well. I have to question why. There has to be more to the story.

I am not familiar with the camera you have. But I have purchased other cameras and equipment from ADORAMA as well as other stores in the New York Metropolitan Area. The prices are usually the same or about across the board. What I look for in a retailer is do they take the item out of the box and let you "fondle" it? Is the person behind the counter eager to make the sale or has experience with the camera or equipment? Are they willing to ask the purchaser poignant questions for your intended use? Also, is the retailer able to fulfill the warranty? These questions will ferret out the inferior stores and lead you to a store you will enjoy doing business every time and again. I am a tough sell as it goes. But, I am loyal to a store I know will deliver on my demands! HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

A friend of mine fell in love with my Sony RX10M4 and is looking to purchase this camera from Adorama due to the bundle special. He asked me for my advise on this company and l did not know what to say to him, l never done business with this company. So my fellow UHH members l am asking your advise again not for me but for another camera guy that does not want to make a beginners mistake and buy from the wrong company but for a beginner and possibly another new member in the future.
Happy New Year and Pleasant Shoot Photos in 2019. May your Photos turn out wonderful each time you press your shutter button and never have a bad picture.

I’ve purchased a small of items from Adorama over the years and had one unpleasant experience that they resolved without issue. I purchased a Sirui tripod, which was described on the Adorama website as having a Sirui manufacturers warranty. In fact, Adorama had been removed from Sirui’s authorized list. With assistance from a Adorama rep who frequents UHH, I contacted Adorama and returned the tripod. On the same day, I noticed that the Adorama webpage that showcased the tripod was modified to state store warranty instead of factory. For my trouble, Adorama gave me a credit discount for future use in addition to a full refund. Do I recommend them for future purchase? Absolutely! I purchased a camera from them three days ago.

True, not everyone has been pleased with these third party companies. I for one will be first to tell you that my experience with Adaroma, B&H, KEH & Crutchfield has NOT been pleasant. In fact, I've had one of these third party retailers refer to me as a "idiot" within several of their email back and forth between us. Because of this I've left what they called me within my signatures at several ofter sites just as a reminder how these companies have treated me.

My suggestion, avoid ALL of these third rate companies and buy direct from the manufacture if at all possible. I've had a better experience buying Direct from the manufacture & from Amazon. When the above third rate companies failed, the manufacture and amazon picked up the slack.

The fact that you are the ONE guy that has had issues with all 4 of these highly-praised companies (lottery winning odds) tells me that you will soon have an issue with Amazon and relegate it to a third rate company as well. After all, millions of satisfied customers can't be right if you were wronged.

Been buying from Adorama for over 20 years. My first purchase was a Sony Video Digital Handycam DCR-VX2000 NTSC. You may ask why I remember this purchase. To me the name Adorama sounded like a used car salemam. Now I not only buy camera equipment but computer hardware, printers, ink and toner. I spend on average about $500 a month with Adorama and sometimes a lot more. Thru the years I purchased a Nikon D3, D4, D5 and D850 from Adorama. On camera equipment I do a price comparison with the local camera store. I go with the local store if they are within a couple percentage points or need it now. I have never had a problem returning a item for any reason.

Worked with them for years. Find them honest and their grading of cameras is conserveitive...Wouldn't think twice about a purchase from new or used.

Just bought a Nikon 70-200 mm f2.8 from the Adorama website last month. They exceeded my expectations throughout the buying experience. They worked with my credit card company to verify the purchase and the 2 day free shipping arrived a day early. I have never been to their store in NYC but I'm sure that they are a class act also.

Wow!!!

What a wonderful start to the New Year. Thank you all so, so much for your great feedback. :) :) <3

I'm just heading into my 12th year with Adorama, and hope I'll be around to add additional support on UHH - and other forums across the 'net - for many years to come.

Always only an email away: Helen@adorama.com

I was originally very reluctant to buy over the internet. Tried Adorama and have been satisfied beyond any doubt. Its return policy is the very generous and without question. Always treated well. I am sure B and H is also very good as comments here reflect. But I will stick with Adorama.

Adorama is one of the small group of companies that I have absolutely no fear doing business with. They are one of those awesome vendors with stellar customer service. Have bought many things from them over the years. Best of luck.

No company of the size of these has a perfect record in hiring associates, that's just a matter of scale. But I've found that these excellent national retailers weed out bad apples quickly, and treat their customers with respect.

I haven't personally bought from KEH, but have always been pleased with everything I've purchased from Adorama and B&H and with their customer service as well. I am also a long time customer of Hunt's back to the 70s, when their main (and only) location was the back of a drugstore in Massachusetts. If you are fortunate enough to be near any one of the above retailers' locations, you will find the experience of an in-store visit both informative and fun.

Crutchfield isn't as well known in the photo field as this is a relatively new area for them. But I've bought car and home audio stuff from them for many years, both in person at their shop in Virginia as well as online. They are absolutely one of the finest businesses I've ever had the pleasure to deal with. One example - when I was installing a piece of audio equipment on my truck they provided an installation diagram via email, but when I had trouble with the installation (the wire colors on my truck were not as shown on the diagram) they talked me through it live on the telephone, including determining how the colors differed from the standard model. I must have spent nearly an hour on the phone with them, soldering iron in hand. To top it off, they suggested I return a surplus piece of installation trim I had purchased, even though the package had been opened.

Hard to top that in any business, and they are always one of my first stops when looking for electronics.

I have made a number of purchases from them for many years, from scopes and other non photographic items, to camera gear and never had any problems with them.
