A friend of mine fell in love with my Sony RX10M4 and is looking to purchase this camera from Adorama due to the bundle special. He asked me for my advise on this company and l did not know what to say to him, l never done business with this company. So my fellow UHH members l am asking your advise again not for me but for another camera guy that does not want to make a beginners mistake and buy from the wrong company but for a beginner and possibly another new member in the future.

What I can say is I’ve made purchases from them since long before computers existed and did it on paper forms sent by mail. Not one problem ever.

I've purchased a number of times from Adorama as has my son. We have had excellent support from the sales pros and great delivery at the stated prices. Helen Oster is an UHH member who monitors the Forum in case the need to intervene on our part is necessary. It is hard to do better to purchase camera and technical equipment than Adorama. I've had equally good experiences with B&H and KEH in Atlanta, and Roberts, too.

I purchased a RX10M4 from Adorama about a year ago. It is a wonderful company to do business with and has great customer service. You can not go wrong dealing with them.

You can buy from them with no fear. They are rock solid dependable as are the companies mentioned by Photocraig.

I have purchase in high dollar amounts and would consider them this day to purchase.
They have a rep that monitors this site as well as Fred Maranda sit. I have made recommendation to friends and family to purchase items large and small.

True, not everyone has been pleased with these third party companies. I for one will be first to tell you that my experience with Adaroma, B&H, KEH & Crutchfield has NOT been pleasant. In fact, I've had one of these third party retailers refer to me as a "idiot" within several of their email back and forth between us. Because of this I've left what they called me within my signatures at several ofter sites just as a reminder how these companies have treated me.
My suggestion, avoid ALL of these third rate companies and buy direct from the manufacture if at all possible. I've had a better experience buying Direct from the manufacture & from Amazon. When the above third rate companies failed, the manufacture and amazon picked up the slack.

Wow, I never dealt with Crutchfield, but I have regularly purchased from the others for many years, as have hundreds of others on this forum, and the number of reported issues is a very tiny fraction compared to all the happy customers. And almost all the issues that do occur are resolved to the customers satisfaction. B&H, KEH, and Adorama are consistently the most respected online photography retailers in the country. The fact that you have had such significant problems with all of them suggests that there are other issues at play.
