After a week of it and hearing the same song by 10 other people, out the door it goes.

Wasn't there an incident back in the mid-eighties where a (disgruntled?) radio DJ barricaded himself in the studio and played "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" a couple of hundred times in a row before they finally got the door open?

Xmas music assaults the aural sensibilities of anyone
who has any knowledge or understanding of music. If
this music had any merit it would be played all year.

Just a thought.
Is it Happy Hour yet?
Cheers

You're absolutely right, but since I hate everything about Christmas, it fits right in!

My favorite Christmas album is A Christmas Gift For You From Phil Spector from 1963 featuring Darlene Love, The Crystals, The Ronettes, Bob B. Soxx And The Blue Jeans. I do sometimes listen to it when it's not Christmas time.

First of all it’s Christmas music, not Xmas music.

Here is an example of "good" Christmas music, played on the Klais instrument at my church by our capable Organis: https://app.box.com/file/368913666

There's nothing I really like about xmas either
Although it is good for business; It seems to be its main function anyway.

Amen, retiredsgt! Having sung in the choruses of The Messiah as a member of the glee club at Alabama College (not U of A) in 1957, I truly appreciate the magnificence of the music.

INDEED !!!!! CHRISTMAS MUSIC ! You can listen to your "X" rated other MUSIC ? any time. Now, settle down and try listening to "Handel's MESSIAH " .
I fully agree, but to be truly accurate "Messiah!" is Easter music when the entirety is performed. The "Christmas" portion is just the first 1 1/2 parts. It's all good, though....

I couldn't see where you are from. Could it be that you live on the top of Mt. Crumpet? :)

I am very disappointed in UHH contributors. Not one, repeat not one, has sent the words "Bah humbug." I know from the past, there has to be some humbugers out there.

Bah Humbug. There, I said it. I actually like Christmas but I don't like most of the silly Christmas music. Also they start playing it way too soon, by teh time Dec.25th gets here I'm sick of it.
