Welcome to the forum. Your comment "I just would like to get better pictures" you don't understand it is the person behind the camera and lens. You have great equipment. Consider going on line and you will find many You Tube tutorials on Sports photography.
There's only one way to improve your pictures: take a lot of pictures, cull ruthlessly, and learn from your mistakes. Buying a new camera is unlikely to significantly improve your pictures, particularly since you have very good lenses. The primary influence on your pictures is the lens; the camera is just a black box.

I agree with PixelStan and PeterBergh.
I would suggest to improve in post processing you should straighten your horizons. I noticed that the roof of the building in the picture you posted was slanted to the right. While it may be a nit-pick, I like things that are normally level to be level in my photos.

Ignore the rhetoric, get the 80D refurbished from Canon to save a few hundred. Also get a good book on digital photography and a good book on the 80D and read them, then practice, practice, practice...

This looks like an fairly good comparison between the two:

1) The 77D is a little newer, hence the later chip
2) Same sensor in both, 1.6 crop factor vs full frame
3) Yes, the 80D is a higher model, weather resistant, pentaprism, see 4)
4) For a comparison:
https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/compare/Canon_77D_vs_Canon_80D/BHitems/1318281-REG_1225875-REGBoth are good cameras. Check the website and see what differences are most important to you
thank you so much on that site it help me pick out the one I am going to get the 77D I knew they was both close and the batteries from my t6i will work with the 77D.
and now I understands what the DIGIC 6 Image processor & DIGIC 7 means and the rest of questions are now.

The 77D is a newer camera and is physically smaller then the 80D. Because it is newer it also has a more updated processor, the DIGIC 7 vs the DIGIC 6. You can use Google to find all the differences between the DIGIC 6 and 7. They both have APS-C crop sensors. I have no idea what the 16X refers to. Where exactly did you see that? Are you referring to the 1.6 crop factor?
