Nice camera. I hope Fuji still make it in Japan like the XT-2.

Sorry, it is manufactured in China this time around...

Let's hope the X-T3 is made to the exact same quality standards as if it were made in Japan.

I find the whole point of the X-T2 is to NOT USE the menu system. Anything I need to change is on the outsides of the camera. I used the menu system to set up the external controls the way I wanted them, and have rarely used it since.

I do the same. No rep need for menu system once all the buttons are programmed. It is such a refreshing change form my Nikon FF...

I also have the XT2 and are very impressed by the newly released XT3. However, when I think of a month ago the XT2 was Fuji's best camera, I can rationalize being happy with the XT2. The Fuji XT2 is built in Japan while the XT3 is built in China and is inspected in Japan.

The new Fuji makes me wish I had not bought my X-T2 and waited for this new sweet thing! Improved in all the right places and nothing sacrificed. Faster, bigger, more detailed and more accurate everything, with a touch screen thrown in. Continuous fire up to 30fps, new processor, new EVF. Can't wait for some Hog to get one and make me even more envious!

Yes I can feel a BIG GAS attack coming ....

I am way too old for a GAS attack. I am more likely to be out looking for cremation urns. Found some good inexpensive ones of Amazon !!!

It is. But it is a nice upgrade from the x-T2. However, the x-T4 is sitting in the background and may have IBS - so I will sit and weight, and like another poser up there, if I really want it I can get it as photography and the tools to make images are my only vice (besides eating well!!). But the mirrorless wars are now heating up and it will be fun to watch the scramble by all of the recognizable big shots -------------- now if the Contax brand were to appear out of the abyss in the G model as mirrorless I would have to get one to go with the 5 lenses I have sitting in a case downstairs!!! Wouldn't that be a killer!!!

I agree with You the review by DP Review and Chris and Jordan was stellar,,,,will see how more reviews go as the Camera gets into a lot of people's hands,,,might rent one from Lens Rentals or Borrow Lenses,,,but if the Autofocus is stellar for Birds in Flight my XT2 and grip which is a great Camera will be traded in to B & H for the new XT3 and grip,,,,at my age I pretty much buy what I want,,,don't pay any attention to the naysayers,,,if You want it get it .....the New Canon mirror less shoots down to -6 EVF and according to Canon has the world's fastest autofocus ,,, time will tell but the lens diameter on the Canon and Nikon mirror less is much bigger than Sony at around 55 to 45 and the flange distance is I believe 20 for Canon and around 15 for Nikon,,,should make for some very exciting new Cameras and Lenses in the future !!!
I agree with You the review by DP Review and Chris... (show quote)

I believe the Panasonic G9 is one of 2 fastest focusing mirrorless camreas

I am having the GAS attack and will have this one. I had the X-T2 in my basket, as it was quite a deal this past month at B&H with a free "kit". I smelled something fishy however, those female instincts kicked in and am so glad I waited. Just wish it were coming out a tad sooner for a trip coming up. I rented one last spring and loved it.

I understand your feelings. It's good news for me because the used market price for the Xt2 should drop to a level I can afford! There's always a silver lining......

Who cares what hands made it or where? The only thing that counts is what kind of quality control is imposed, and Fuji is in charge of that!

European user here - completely "d'accord" !

Yup, they have hidden the Made in China behind the LCD apparently. It is not actually available until September 20th. I have been tempted to jump to Mirrorless for some time and find Fuji the most attractive proposition. Love the idea of not having to dive into menus all the time, or at least, cutting it down to a minimum. As always it is all about making a decision X-T20, or now the X-T3. the other alternative is to wait for the X-T30 but you could wait forever, there will always be something new just around the corner. I also like the way that Fuji seem to listen to their customers, something that is not quite so apparent with some of the other brand names.

Just "come and join the club", grumpy ..... you'll enjoy your photography so much more that you might even have to change name to another of the 7 Dwarfs ........ err, "Happy" !

Would LOVE to get one Cat ....... but, even though I've been Fuji X since 2013, I can still only justifiably afford myself one of these fabulous (and getting better and more accepted/enjoyed/loved worldwide) X-Series cameras.

Loads more FUN to use than my older Nikon DSLR's ! They're gone.

There are so many more Fuji X lovers "in the wider world" that never seem to come into the consideration of US hoggers ....... pity.

I'd just like to bring to the group's notice one guy, not a pro photographer, but a Danish doctor, who, in addition to his substantial medical responsibilities, finds the time to be a Fuji X Photographer and unbiased reviewer.

Simple, straightforward, says what he thinks. And well respected. Worth following.

Eyes open, folks !!
