The B&W version looks like how the old orthochromatic films rendered reds - almost no sensitivity. I wonder if you dialed back the red channel a bit if it would lighten up a bit in the conversion to B&W. Nice photos, but I prefer the color one.

The BW seems to me as being very flat . It looks like something for a background of a structural advert.

The color version does stand out as a structural study of the building.

My vote is for the shot in color.

Thanks!

Both are nice, John, but as is usual for me, I will go with the color version.

That barn was born to be red John! Maybe all barns are for this old guy.

Me, too Phil, though we have lots of white ones around here.

I do enjoy b/w too and maybe if this was old and weathered that would work but for this absolutely perfect barn and immaculate scene I am with everyone else. Red it is! I wonder how barns came to be red? Now it is usually the more expensive of paint colors!
