They are both great. However they need 50+ years of neglect to be real gems.
In great nick and yes red for me....

The colour for me John, the red contrasts beautifully with the grass and leaves on the tree.

Hey Jay, in this case, the 'red' barn does it for me.

Thanks for taking a look, Sylvia.
The color version holds the contrast a bit better.
The B&W version loses a lot of detail in the red. However, both versions suffer a bit of "burnout" in the sky, and I believe it probably overshadowed the barn itself, causing some slight underexposure.
Without shooting native B&W, and using the conversions in Affinity, Photoshop, etc., you have to really work on maintaining the contrast.
If I were shooting this scene on B&W film, I'd be using a yellow, or perhaps red filter to work on the contrast. Since the image is already converted to B&W, you could try different filtrations to simulate the red and yellow filters for B&W.
It has excellent composition, and the red really stands out. You may want to consider darkening the sky.
I prefer the color John. If there were more contrasting clouds in the sky, the B&W would be fantastic.

Take your choice.
I think the B&W shows off your composition and framing, but as an old farm kid, nothing beats a beautiful red barn. Good job John!
