I would only agree to meet, to at least check out if the guy really has this equipment and it is in good working order, in a very public place. Meeting at the local Police station is an excellent suggestion. If the seller balks at meeting there, then 'run' the other way. Meeting at the Police station does two things, puts pressure on the seller as to if they're legit or not, and, will provide the buyer with a 'quick' and handy way to have the Police run the Serial numbers on the equipment to see if they're hot-or-not...

Do what people have been writing about- be in front of cameras in a police station area. Also do what "riderxlx" wrote about. I stop buying off of E-Bay and Criglisted. Began to having problems. I just now buy from local yard sale and local auction. This way I can fully check out the camera.

CL has many legit ads I personally have bought And sold 2 sailboats and the truck I drive today.
I do avoid those to good to be true. I looked at the ad and definitely something wrong at that

If you are going to blindly and stupidly meet an unknown on a chump baiting deal which cash is involved. You would be ridiculously stupid not to meet outside an open public arena with no option to being hijacked would be the threat.
