If I were to buy this camera which is indicated at a local location should I go with a friend who carries a gun?

Arrange to meet the seller in a public place - coffeehouse, restaurant, library conference room, etc.

I bet it don’t exist. They will want a WU or Moneygram to hold your place for the next one off the line. I checked on a few to good to be true deals and it was always this story.

I live by the adage, If it is too true to begin with, forget it. With that said, I do not need to meet the seller with my armed guard.

Well, the Nikon 24-70 2.8E Lens, New, I think sells for well over $1,000.00, so with the Camera and Lens,....Well let's say $600.00 for everything is a Real deal.

I wouldn't bother. Camera either hot or you'll lose your wallet. I've seen a couple of other ads done the exact same way & I figure buyer BEWARE.

This guy is selling a camera and lens for 1/4 of what it should sell for so ..... IT IS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE SO MOST LIKELY IT IS.
I would suspect the camera is stolen or it does not exist and this is sucker bait to lure you into a robbery. RUN! Be afraid, be very afraid.

Assuming the camera even exists, which is doubtful, for $600 this camera is either stolen or badly damaged and not working. I think meeting with the seller anywhere would be an effort in futility and possibly dangerous.

If YOU were selling a camera on craigslist and the buyer showed up brandishing a gun, what would you think?

He said carry, not brandish. There IS a difference.
(And I think he was being facetious.)
