But as long as it is here, the question must be answered.
Gee I thought coming into a country illegally is a choice made by themselves that is unless it is human trafficking. BTW volunteering for the Military is much different than being an Illegal.

But none of these other kids have been kidnapped from their parents as a result of government policy.

The parents did nothing illegal. Look it up!

How is the last category illegal? Show me a single example, here or anywhere in the world that children are allowed to go to jail with their parent.

You are aware, I assume, that the newly famous 'kids in cages' photo that has been at the fore of this new media blitz was taken in 2014, during the Obama administration?

If this story were actually a crisis of conscience, would it not make sense to wait less than 4 years to take up the fight? And while I'm asking about immigration action, or inaction, how is it that the Democrats have spent most of the last 16 years claiming immigration reform is a priority, but for two years, from 2008-2010, with the Presidency, and majorities in both Houses, did NOTHING? (Answer: It's a political weapon to complain and vilify, and it's politically neutering to not have a soapbox.)

So, what you are trying to do is rationalize the actions of our administration, trying to make it ok to essentially kidnap children. No, it is not ok, period.

It is not ok to be an illegal alien. If they dont come here they dont get separated plain and simple.

Are you crazy? Illegal aliens come to America knowing full well it is against the law. That is why they are called ILLEGAL aliens. Oh and by the way, they make the choice themselves. Nobody drags them kicking and screaming to America.

Illegal government overreach? How about enforcing the law. For some dumb ass reason, you Liberals have decided only the laws YOU like shall be enforced. Sorry Bucko but that isn’t the way America was set up, nor has it operated that way except for basically the Obama years.

Where the hell was your righteous indignation, your incredible anger, when it was Obama separating kids from parents?

Yes, and that's a shame too. I have great respect for young men and women who enlist to serve our country at great sacrifice. My hat is off to them.

My dad was career navy but we were lucky; though he was gone a LOT, we didn't move while I was growing up.

Lucky you!

Yes I realize that. But apparently the powers that be decided The Attic is more appropriate.

Thanks for sharing commonly known information.

The OP put it in Chit Chat, and Admin moved it to the Attic, where it belongs as being controversial and political.

I would have been a career military man but during my 8 year tour I had 11 assignments the longest being 3 years. This is no way to raise a family.
