Why do they have to have elk transplanted to states such as Kentucky where elk used to roam, Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited are other organizations that are in the fight to save wildlife? I might have been impressed if she had snuck up on the animal and taken it down bare handed, but certainly not by standing a distance away and shooting the unsuspecting animal with a high powered rifle. Don't know how that can be considered "sport". She could have shot it with a camera instead.

IMHO if a herd needs culling there are rangers who can do it. Letting spoiled, soulless rich Americans travel half way across the planet to shoot some animal in a pen is horrifying, unnecessary and counter productive because there are always more idiots who think that is cool.
