That is true. There are game parks that are owned by individuals that you can hunt on and there are restaurants like Carnivore that serve game from those parks including giraffe.

And justifies wiping a whole species off the face of the earth , Right? . One by one we'll k**l of everything .. until there's just us.. then?
Haven't we done enough of that already?
We nearly did that with the American Bison.
In the long run, it's more expensive to try and bring back a species than it is to conserve..

The Mississippi and (possibly) Lake Michigan are having problems with Asian Carp (brought here as "Good Business Venture"), h****rs can go shhot them, freeze them and send them to areas of the world that need a good source of protein.

And probably a quick death with the least amount of suffering. Funny how people are outraged about k*****g animals, but have no qualms about k*****g their own kind. I'm not a trophy h****r, but do realize that hunting does support the protection of game animals.

H****rs' Contributions to Wildlife Conservation -

Why do we need to hunt?
A shift in the way we think about wildlife and habitat is clearly in order. We need to be prepared to keep wild animals wild, and this means hunting them when and where it is appropriate. And it means a willingness to put resources into land acquisition for the purpose of creating ample habitat for wildlife.
Why Hunt? | Center for Humans & Nature
https://www.humansandnature.org › why...

In 2013, the most recent year for which complete data are available, h****rs spent about $821 million on licenses and permits and almost $813 million in excise taxes for a total financial contribution of around $1.65 billion to wildlife conservation.Sep 13, 2016

Biggest reason all these efforts are needed is because we (mankind) screwed up the environment Michigan has more deer running around now than when the Mayflower landed on our shores... because we have to "manage" them... Good business ALWAYS justifies everything no matter what. It's all about the $$$$$.

Interesting to note that those who have the fewest facts seem to have the loudest voices. A little research would show that the death of this old creature ensured life for many others - animal and human.

I hope all of those who expressed outrage at hunting enjoy their soyburgers and kale salad on the 4th.

I can understand that...but for someone to take such joy from k*****g a magnificent old animal like this is just pathetic. In parts of South Africa they are wrestling with the problem of elephant overpopulation. These animals have no effective predators and there is no hunting. Large areas now have such reductions in trees that other species are in decline and the elephants themselves may start suffering starvation. They are too large and difficult to sedate and move, and anything done has to be done to the entire family unit or else they get dangerously stressed. So one of the suggested resolutions sadly is to start a culling program - but if done it will be not of individuals but of family units of 10-20 animals. If done, hopefully it will NOT be done to feed someone's fantasies and delusions of potency.

Like most on the Left you accept the k*****g of the giraffe PROVIDED it meets your expectations that the h****r be extremely contrite, totally apologetic, about the k**l. You should take a look at real facts about hunting in Africa and hunting in general. The beautiful animals you see in Africa are there because of hunting dollars going to numerous African countries. Many native villages are eating meat because the meat from animals k**led by h****rs is given to the natives to eat. When an animal the size of an elephant is k**led an entire village will come to the k**l site to butcher the entire animal for the meat it provides. These people don’t live in your world and don’t get welfare benefits. They live in villages with dirt homes and thatched roofs. Welcome to the OTHER world.

I am a very proud h****r and have hunted in Africa. Every animal I shot was k**led humanely and the meat, every bit of it, went to natives. The thousands of dollars I spent went to promote ethical hunt for the country of Zimbabwe.

I am proud the young lady in the photo took this animal out of the gene pool. Anybody with common sense who wants to continue seeing African animals thrive should be proud of her too. What have any of you done to help wild animals thrive, anywhere? Just saying you don’t k**l them doesn’t count.

Why don’t you get off your butt and check some facts. Idaho has a season to shoot wolves, up to five, because when wolves were reintroduced they have since multiplied to a much larger population that originally thought. Wolves k**l elk and deer to the point those animals can go below their levels. Some control is needed.

Another poster said elephants will be extinct in 15 years. When I hunted in Africa elephants were a nuisance and we saw herds every day. In some areas elephants are culled by state game rangers because there are too many for the area. You on the Left always incorrectly blame h****rs for animal shortages when you should rightly blame poachers. But of course that would not fit your Snowflake Liberal agenda would it. As I asked in another post, what are you personally doing to help ANY game animals anywhere?

Exactly. But these whining Liberals, as a whole, do nothing to help any game species except whine about the death of animal.

Maybe they should look up, The Pittman Robertson Act, enacted in (I believe 1935) to tax the sale of firearms and ammunition. Those tax dollars, VOLUNTEERED by hunting sportsmen years ago, go toward helping game animals. Organizations like The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation have held annual banquets all across the United States for many years. The funds raised from these banquets, attended by h****rs, have gone toward buying properties that are given to the states to be used by everyone, yes including Liberals that h**e hunting of animals, EVERYONE. These funds have also gone to have elk t***splanted to states such as Kentucky where elk used to roam. Now they do again. So when you anti h****rs see these animals in states where they are again, where do you think the money came from? Most likely not from your tax dollars. Pheasants Forever, Ducks Unlimited are other organizations that are in the fight to save wildlife as well.
