It's a 1950, 2dr deluxe - we had one almost like it except ours was a fleetline model.
Here are two dated photos of the 1949. Doubters that do not believe it is a 1950, check the verticle bars under the top trip piece, they are not part of the 1950 grill.
The car is obviously not a 53 or 54, and photo evidence has eliminated the 49 and 51. What does that leave? Just a hunch, me thinks that leaves the nineteen and fifty.
Neighbor had a 49'. Chrome trim suggests more like a 49'-52'. Pretty sure the 54' had no flared rear fenders and a different chrome trim configuration. It's been awhile though. lol

The car appears to be a 1953 Chevy.
Not a 1953 Chevrolet. 1953 has the wrap around windshield like the 1954. It is 1949 to 1952 most likely.

You're definitely correct. I'd say a 51-53 Chevy.
1949 to 1952. 1953 has wrap around windshield.

It is a 1949 or 1950 Chevrolet.
Nope. You're not the only one. Been a print subscriber for years. I think the magazine continues to get better.

My vote is for the 1950 model...Had buddies in high school who drove them...All I had was my little 34 Ford 3 window coupe!
you were the lucky one then. A'34 Ford three window (one of my all time favorites) is far better than a '50 Chevy...no offense Chevy lovers :)
Only on UHH would we find EIGHT PAGES of responses to something like this!
I haven't read every response, so forgive me if someone has already pointed out....
Approx. through the mid-1960s it wasn't uncommon for a car to be registered one or two or even more years later than it's year of manufacture, if it sat unsold for a period of time. The registration reflected the year sold, not necessarily the year of manufacture the way it's done today.
I have a Triumph TR4 that was built in late 1962, imported to the U.S. via the port of San Francisco in 1963.... and wasn't actually sold until 1964, which is the year shown on the registration. That might be what happened with that old Chevy, too. (In contrast, many years ago I briefly owned a 1950 "3100" pickup... that was built, sold and registered as a 1950.)
49 or 50.
Wrap-around windshields came with the 1955's.
I owned both a 53 and 54 at different times.
A good friend owned a 49 4 door slope back. Was that a 'turtle-back'?

The photo is in an ad for a film scanning device. The vehicle is labeled as a 1954 Chevrolet photographed in 1958 using Kodak Plus-X 120 with a Graflex 22. UHH member “mas24” is asking whether the year of the Chevy is mis-identified.
It looks to me to be an 49 Chevy!
This is a '54. Not my Photo

No, it's not a 1954, this photo shows bulging rear fenders and a split windshield. A 54 had flat(er) sides and a wrap around windshield. This looks more like a ~1951 + or -2 that my parents had when I was really young.
My first car was a 1954 Chevy and I can tell you, through experience, that it is not a 54. Could very likely be a 1952.
Here are Barrett Jackson File Photos of years 1949 to 1955 Chevrolets.
