Agreed; NK has made totally unacceptable threats against the US and its allies. What would it be like if similar threats were made against Russia or China? I believe similar threats would be made but without the bombast or schoolyard-like threats. A similarly serious threat made in a calm, understated manner is more frightening than the way Trump represented the US intent.

Other US Presidents have allowed other nations with North Korea and Iran being at the top rung of the ladder to threaten America and our allies with nothing being done about it. So these nations have simply upped their game. The worst was Obama who encouraged Iran to be bolder while doing absolutely nothing about North Korea. Now NK is actually testing rockets by sending them over Japan, one of our allies we have sworn to protect. At the same time Kim Jung Un has said and continues to say he will send a nuclear bomb toward America. You idiots on the Left hear little Kimmy saying he will annihilate America, you see him testing rockets to deliver a bomb and then you say Trump is crazy and trying to start a war and force KJU into attacking us. WTF would you have President Trump do? Do you want him to be just like Obama and kiss everyone's ass? Do you want him to simply look the other way as Bill Clinton and Obama did? I voted for Trump because he isn't like politicians. I want straight talk for Americans and I want him to lay all cards on the table for countries who are aggressors toward America and our allies. I WANT Trump to tell these people that IF they choose to do anything to us or our allies that they will be wiped off the face of the planet. Is this all you can say? Something about Trump from years ago. As I recall from seeing the video of him fondling a woman, she didn't seem to be complaining at the time. The only woman who seemed to complain was 15 years later and the woman was on Hillary's election team. God darn, that was convenient for Hillary wasn't it? Of course I did not hear you complaining about the conquests of Bill Clinton whether they were invited conquests or he achieved them by force. Most likely you were cheering him on.

But the problem now is not something Trump did 15 years ago. Sorry if you simply can't let that go in lieu of more important things like North Korea saying they will attack us with a nuclear bomb while actively working on the means to deliver it to our West Coast. Call me crazy but to me that seems more important than Donald Trump fondling what seems to be a willing participant 15 years ago or his locker room talk. Like thommy boy you will bitch and moan Trump did nothing to protect us after the bomb hits America. As I recall from just yesterday Trump was at the United Nations to garner support for actions against North Korea. He has done nothing unilaterally against NK and has tried to work with China and using monetary sanctions against NK to stop their aggression. What more would you have him do?

Dennis, I don't think anyone wants Kim to have the chance for to use his weapons. Most Americans, even those you denigrate as "liberals", love our country and want its citizens and overall best interests protected.

I believe you are wrong to think NK is a problem created by "liberals". Kim is the 3rd generation of a line of paranoid dictators. His family line extends through several administrations both Dem and Repub. As a nation we've tried many approaches to lessen the NK threat and all have failed. Trump's approach is the last available to us and our continued safety. His manner of handling it is for history to decide.

NK's rapid advancements in ICBM and nuclear weapon technology is too fast for reasonable people to accept - he's assuredly getting help and it is coming from countries who recently decided to support our sanctions.

Trump is right for telling NK we will not allow attacks on us or our allies but his way of doing it is a real concern. Sometimes the message is lost because the delivery distracts from its importance. If we or our allies are attacked, we must respond. However, right now the world and many Americans (myself included) feel Trump is more interested in war than peace. His bombast and crude threats will make the US seem like we were itching for a war when we aren't. Some will view an attack on the US as "well he asked for it" instead of admitting we had no choice. Resorting to stupid name-calling instead of admirable statesmanship is far more than embarrassing. It makes us look like a petty, nuclear bully.

IMHO, Trump is unfit to lead the IS. He might have the right ideas but he is dangerously incompetent at implementing them.
