Great photos of an area where I have spent a lot of time. For anyone who visits the Moab area I strongly recommend Highway 128 from I-70 to Moab. Has to be one of the top ten drives in the U.S.

Your photos are beautiful--congratulations on doing a fine job. They further cement my desire to go to Utah and see for myself.

Thank you, John. I will keep a positive thought for you getting out West soon. It's so different from Indiana--and such a change of scenery is magical.

Bob, I bet you have your own collection that far exceeds what I do! But I appreciate your good words. The ribs have been getting less achy, but I'm going off the meds and some of the pain is suging again. Better to tough it out for a while than do damage to my health. At least I'm through the roughest part.

Castle Valley was our destination after leaving Arches and we had some beautiful late afternoon lighting on the monuments. We started out going up the Castle Valley road to a small settlement with an old homestead, then followed Hwy 128 along the Colorado River until we could look back on the Fisher Towers. Next, we went up the road to the Fisher Towers Campground for a close-up of the towers, then took the road up to Professor Valley. The final shot was taken at the end of the Colorado River Pathway as we returned to Moab.

That did turn out to be a good location for the late afternoon light. While I find the colors a bit challenging to post-process when the orange is so overwhelming, Lightroom's HSL module allows the opportunity to define and separate colors that are close in value. I find it more useful than the universal sliders. Glad to know the images are looking good on the viewer's end, Sirius_one!

Great series. Thanks for letting the world know about Castlr Valley and the Fisher Towers. I have visited Bryce, Zion and The Arches each many times and missed Castle Valley and the Towers. I won't on my next jaunt.
Thanks again!
