Magnificent country beautifully captured!

This was the first trip where I had gone up the side valleys off Hwy 128 and I wish now that I'd spent more time exploring those areas in the past. I really think there are more photo ops for landscapes than in the parks. The parks do have a lock on outstanding rock formations, though. Glad you enjoyed the scenery beyond the parks, rmm0605!

Another very beautiful set, dmeyer!

Glad you enjoyed this set, Swamp-Cork! This location turned out to be the most rewarding up to that point in the trip. But the Scenic Drive from Capitol Reef turned out to be my favorite for the colorful stryations in the rocks. (I still have another set to post before I get to Capitol Reef, though.)

Those are beautiful. I'm sorry we missed them! I thought we were being pretty thorough, but I guess not.

You're not the only one to miss exploring along the Colorado River east of Moab. I'd been to Moab three other times and only followed the highway along the river, never ventured into the valleys. Wish now I had spent more time going further into those valleys, myself. There were two other routes that I had downloaded info on but ran out of time to explore.

I have enjoyed your journey to the old southwest. I the most recent series I like your old homestead and the tree the best. The tree and its wagon wheel looks so restive and was taken at a prime time of the day. Keep them coming.
