Great lighting in the first pic. Definitely my favorite. I agree that it is a little bright, but when you adjusted it I think you darkened it just a tad bit too much ( my personal opinion). I like her smile in 1 and 3, i don't really like anything about 2. If I may make a suggestion, I would not dress her in red if you can choose. It is a hard color to control, but you did very well at controlling it. Maybe it's just a bad idea to use red for someone at my level in photography. I really hope she wins the contest!

Thanks Jared. I agree about the re-do being a little too dark, so here is one more attempt. Even subtle changes make a difference don't they! I know she has a killer black dress she wore to her prom, so maybe I can get her to put that on, then try to re-create the expression in this photo. I think she is quite photogenic, so shouldn't be hard to get another nice pic. Thanks for the thoughts.

Make it a wee bit lighter still, I feel. Also warm it up slightly. Skin tones look a bit bluish to me. While you are at it, clone out the highlights at the top edges of the picture.
Very photogenic girl with a wonderful smile. Curls are in. Maybe a bit of that at the tips of the hair. Wish her luck.

Well I see everyone likes to see teeth in a smile but I like three...has a little mystery and I like the way the wind caught her hair.
I think that picture would make a viewer want to see MORE!
good luck to you and the young model.

Number 1 is the shot. I agree with most of the other comments. Number 1 makes her look far more open and approachable.

# 1 Hands down. The smile displays a bubbly personality and there is a real sweetness about her demeanor which comes through .

I too like photo 1... Try cutting the brightness by half of what you did.
Taylor looks a little to dark right now.
