I cannot tell you where this is, but it is a sign that should be used more often. One of the most frustrating things is trying to pass someone who persists in driving in the Passing Lane.
The Right Hand Lanes are for Driving - not Passing. The Left Lane is for Passing Only (yes, there are occasional exceptions).
And, who are the greatest offenders? Take a guess; Gender is the clue.
In western Europe, almost nobody drives in the Passing Lane - especially in Germany.
I couldn't agree more. I have been frustrated many times about slow drivers in the passing lane. In my little corner of the world it has gotten so bad that if I truly am in a hurry I stay in the right hand lane. My blood pressure in those instances drops dramatically. The best I've seen was passing thirty one cars going through a small town during rush hour. Traffic light there tends to back them up. I get in the right hand lane and usually make it to within one or two cars of the light. Look in my side view mirror and have trouble seeing the last car in line in the passing lane. Just can't help but chuckle.
