One other thing that bugs me is that companies who have gone around to various states and got a deal to post speed-limit cameras.
They put them in areas, especially large cities, where the
speed limit is dropped to as low as 55mph - but NO ONE, especially the locals, actually does that limit.
The deal they make is to take pictures of all the cars going through that area, but to ticket only the out-of-state cars, because they won't come back to fight it in court or whatever.
And, Yes, I have gotten a couple of those over the years. One was in Iowa, and I had to sent the $192 payment to a company in Ohio.
Likewise, try slowing down and driving close to the speed limit, and you'll get run over by the locals who aren't getting ticketed.
Go figure . . .
