It was several years ago, but you're right. I didn't use auto iso, but the trouble did come at higher iso's. It was OK in good light and at close flash distances, but once the iso went up in low light or at longer flash distances it got pretty bad. As I remember, my big problem with it was that the flash was only usable at close range. To be fair that still is a problem common to most P&S's. I guess it's not fair to compare it to my current compact camera, a Nikon P7800. Looking back it probably wasn't any worse than my Nikon P50 P&S.
