Has anybody purchased from Greentoe? If so, did you have any problems? They advertised on this site recently.

I've never heard of it, but if they're selling below the standard price, I'd be wary, despite their good rating.

I'll never understand the attraction to these funky winkerbean, 5th rate, fly-by-night outfits.
Stick with companies that can be trusted. :hunf:

If they called themselves Butthair Clingon Sales, I bet somebody would want to buy from them.

Hello all,

I just wanted to let you know that Greentoe was created to put purchasing power back in the hands of the consumers by allowing retailers compete for your business. We only partner with Manufacturer Authorized Retailers to sell you new products only. Our retailers are very reputable and most have been in business for more than 20 years. All products are covered by a USA warranty from the manufacturer. We NEVER sell grey market merchandise, and accept returns. We usually beat Amazon and other retailersÂ’ prices by 15%-20%.

Your credit card will never be charged until a retailer accepts your offer and you will know the name of the retailer once your offer is accepted.

Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions.

Thanks!

@ Haydon,

I know, I know, we say it a lot! But only because it's important for our customers to know that the gear we sell is legitimate and comes from quality retailers. These are the questions we are most asked by new customers all the time, so we say it all the time. I'm sure it gets old to a seasoned veteran of the boards like you, but we mean no harm.

Greentoe

p.s. The pictures you have on your site are REALLY AWESOME! You have a great eye!

No Jerry, I meant it the way it read.
Butthair Clingon's, like fart dust that sticks to butthairs. Wiping's the Charmin left behind. Stuff to shampoo from the muff.

Ref: Greentoe's response above.
Why would somebody want to add yet another middleman into a purchase?
No Thank You. :hunf:

Wow. after reading what some of the others are saying perhaps I should keep my mouth shut. I shouldn't tell anyone how much money I saved on my canon 100mm 2.8L macro lens. I guess some guys like paying more. I am completely satisfied with the transaction.

They aren't a retailer. They are an intermediary.

I've used them. Got a better price and solid fulfillment. In fact when things were delayed, I contacted them and they got in touch with the vendor and straightened things out immediately. Had that not happened they offered to get the item for the same price from a different seller or cancel the trade.

Totally satisfied. The negative comments here are obviously from those that haven't used them and seemingly don't understand what their business model is.

I would use them again for major purchases of new gear. Why wouldn't I? Unless they get me a better price, I don't have to push the buy button. No grey market and you are dealing with what based on my experience are good people.

I have, purchased a couple of lens from them. If you make a decent offer or even an indecent offer they will send the offer around to their partners. The material you purchase is guaranteed to be genuine, not gray market\ and carries the manufacturer's warranty. I ended up dealing with a reputable dealer in NJ. Very happy with the purchase. You will save a few bucks, depending on what you are purchasing. I would recommend it.

I have purchased several photo gear items (camera and lenses) from Greentoe and was fully satisfied. They were exactly the same items with the same warranties that B&H and Adorama sells but 5 to 10% cheaper. The items arrived promptly with free shipping. I can recommend them.

It's all about the Benjamins. Everybody is looking to buy good stuff cheap, to borrow Ollie's mantra.
