Why in the lord's name would you make this comment. You could just continue to lurk. Or, you could not read something that you have no interest in. I, for one at least, have found this an interesting thread, and I get no sense similar to yours. You will find that positive comments are better than negative ones. I often find that if I have nothing good to say then I should just read on. Unfortunately, I have made an exception to my own "rule" in this case!

LOL. I was going to ask you about that. By the way, I don't think the Lord would want to share any complicity for my actions.

I have a film camera, a Canon A1 to be specific, this camera came on the market back the 80's and I love it. Although I am into digital right now, but I will not sell my Canon A1. I have great memory with it.

When I shoot film I use a Bronica ETRS that I purchased in about 1981 or 82. I just replaced a 120 film back and got a newer finder for. it has had a lot of film run through it and was only rebuilt once. my favorite film camera by far.

When I shoot digital the oldest one I use is my Nikon D200, built like a tank and a great camera to shoot sports and action.

65 years old the end of this month, no upgrade needed. 1949 Sinar 4X5. Still use it.

I am using a Nikon d90 right now, but my oldest digital is a Canon AOS-d30, it is heavy and the LDC is about the size of a 35 mm film. I had a difficult time to see my pictures until I downloaded into my computer. I had a great time with it, but it is retired now.

I have two favorite cameras, my Nikon F that I use with a hand held exposure meter from 1963 and my D7000 from last year when I bought it brand noew from a photographer that never used it.
No plans to replace either one for now.

My favorite is a Pentax MX. I have two, one silver and one black. I have no idea how old they are since I bought them used a long time ago. I like them because they are rugged, compact and will work without batteries, since the battery only operates the light meter. The shutter is mechanical.

That is probably the best camera ever! :)

My first 35mm film cameras were the Nikon F and Nikkormat. Both of which I still have. Then a lot of time passed and bought a Nikon D80 and now shoot with the D7100.

The F5 came out in 1996. Maybe yours is the “F”, which came out in 1959? Even the F2 wasn’t made until 1971.

Nikon F: 1959-1973
Nikon F2: 1971-1980
Nikon F3: 1980–2001
Nikon F4: 1988–1996
Nikon F5: 1996–2005
etc.

Nikon D2X: 2004
Nikon D2XS: 2006
Nikon D3: 2007
Nikon D3X: 2008
Nikon D3S: 2009
Nikon D4: 2012
etc.

Hopefully this is all correct. If not I know someone will correct it.

I used to have a bought used Pentax MX but mine had a couple issues so it was never a fav of mine. I know others swear by it. I sold it about a year and a half ago. I still have 3 Pentax film cameras, one is my fav film camera and is still used, that is a K2 DMD black body. I also have a K1000 and Spotmatic. I've own a number of other Pentax cameras: KM (stolen), K1000SE (stolen), ME (traded), ME Super (sold), MX (sold). I had wanted a KX but never got one. My issue with M-series Pentaxes is that they are a bit small for my hands. My digitals are K-5, K-20D, (IR Converted) K-100D. Thinking of a K-5IIS or K-3.

Time flies when you're having fun! :-) Canon 5d Mk II released in Nov 2008, 6 years ago this month. Canon 5d Mk III released Mar 2012, not yet 3 years? Not that it matters, of course. It all depends on what you do with it, not how long you've had it and you do some excellent stuff with yours.

Doesn't he just
