There has to be a Satan.
Without Satan, God would have no excuse for allowing all the horrible things that go on in the world.
I had a client who was a holocaust survivor. He grew up an orthodox Jew but became an Atheist. When I asked him why
he said he left his faith behind when he crossed the gates of Auschwitz. For all of those who point to the beauty of the world as evidence of the existence of god seem to forget about all the ugliness that's out there as well. The holocaust was a man made event but according to the bible man was made in god's image. If god exists he's got a pretty sick sense of humor

Many religions make God "in the image they want Him to be".

Really, you shouldn't let this kind of discussion get the best of you. Neither you nor I will change the world by what we say here so no need to be come upset with yourself if I or others disagree with you. Enjoy yourself...

You have represented yourself as the typical "Holier than Thou" religious nut. That attitude is exactly what made me run away from religion. It breeds hatred. I am NOT out of control. All religious, bible-thumping nutcases are. And you are so condescending. I don't want to change the world. The world NEEDS to want to change. Have a "good" life.

Your God is a fire-truck? You only call Him out in emergencies?

There is a lot that could be said here. But for the sake of I am not a very good typist, I'll keep it short.
!. The Jewish people are, and have suffered because of their disobedience. The probable worst is when they rejected Jesus, and cried Crucify him, let his blood be on our hands, well it pretty much has. But you can't forget they are still Gods chosen people, and he will yet spiritually restore them.
2. The Bible really does not explain exactly where Evil came from, except it was found in Lucifer (satan) in the form of exalted Pride. As far as its existence, God is dealing with it according to his plan, and will crush it in the end.

Yes, Jesus is the Son of God and no, God is not married. God is Spirit. Jesus is God in the flesh. Just as God has promised by the prophet's that he would himself come to redeem mankind from their sins. It was by his Spirit that Mary, the mother of Jesus gave birth. No sex took place. Although Jesus was human, God is Spirit.
I know where you are going with this statement but you are wrong in your assumption.
Yes, Mary, the mother of a man named Jesus, was inseminated by a ghost (some call it a spirit), according to the Bible. Thus, some kind of sex had to have taken place. And what is wrong with sex among ghosts and humans? Ridiculous.

Perhaps you could lend us some of your wisdom as to why God is waiting to crush evil and does not crush it now? Superstitious belief.

Yes, that was ridiculous. A spirit can not have sex with each other or with humans. Where did you get such a ridiculous ideal as that?
God, who created the heavens and the earth and all that is in it, surely he can put life into the womb of a woman. His spirit did not have sex with anyone. God is Spirit, neither male nor female. Have you not heard, there is no marriage in heaven neither is there the giving of sex in heaven.

Yes this is a fallen world, a sin-sick world, where men can mock God and get away with it. But few people appreciate how sinful their own sin is and would prefer to point to the rapists, murders and such.
In God's economy, if you have used his name in vain you are guilty of blasphemy and deserve hell. Ever do that? In His economy if you have ever stolen anything, you are a thief and deserve hell. Ever do that? If you have even looked at another person in lust, it is the same as adultery. Ever do that? I could go on thru the rest of the 10 commandments, but you get the point I hope. Without being able to claim Christ's payment for our sins we would all be in hell with the rapists, murders, Hitler and the rest. The Bible says the soul that sins shall die, i.e. spiritual death, i.e end up in hell.
I think you know that God looks on the heart, not just words. He has given you plenty of grace already. Give it up while you can. He cares about you.

What an idiotic post. I did however point out that research shows that generally believers have been proven to be less intelligent than non believers. This post seems to prove that point.

Wasn't there research done that showed that Canon users were less intelligent than Nikon users? That doesn't mean that I am going to give up my Canon 60D.

I agree since Salvation is entirely a work of God, and nothing is required on our part. God saves to the uttermost, and will not loose one of his children.
That is why I said anyone who changes their mind, and walks away; was never saved in the first place. Which may? leave them in a better position than an apostate. That is up to God.
I am a strict 5 point Calvinist, and fully understand perseverance of the Saints. Also election, someone who changes their mind and walks away, was never supposed to be there in the first place. Again never saved.
The Bible is a wondrous book. You can read, read, and reread it, and still find something new. We will never learn it all, until we stand face to face. :)
