I don't believe in God so in your eyes I am Evil.

I think if you met me with an open mind you may have a different opinion but I don't think I know any religious people that would understand why anyone wouldn't believe in God so not a fair test.

Each to their own, neither is right or wrong as I see it.

Feel free to believe in God but please leave me to have my own ideas too :D

I have always found it ironic that a photographer, who seeks to capture the bounteous beauty of the world, cannot see the touch of a Creator through his viewfinder. Sounds, to me, like a classic case of "to view but not see,". Oh well, perhaps you have not been viewing the right subjects.

I agree, It's a beautiful world. Why do you have to gild the lilly, by making up a god?

I am not making up anything. It is inconceivable that such a beautiful and vastly complex world as ours, with all its organic and living varieties, could possibly happen by coincidence. The very fragility of life itself shows a balance clearly pointing to a creator. To deny this fact is to either "view but not see" or to see and not want to believe.

Those who view and see stand in awe, while those who choose to not believe just wonder how all this came about. I am much more comfortable with the former than the latter, especially since my camera allows me to record that which you can never fully grasp.

I am not making up anything. It is inconceivable t... (show quote)

It would be more truthful to say "It is inconceivable to me that such a beautiful and vastly complex world as ours, with all its organic and living varieties, could possibly happen by coincidence. "

It is not an incontrovertible fact. Its an opinion, a belief, a faith.

One which I share. I see the beauty and mystery of the Divine in just about everything. I try to let myself be in awe about something on a daily basis. For me, when I am in a state of awe, that is when I feel closest to God

No one thinks of you as an evil person just because you do not believe that God does exist. We all are sinners and have come up short. We just can not understand why you do not believe. Believe as you wish. That is between you and God. To want proof that God exist is to deny what you see as proof that God does exist. Faith requires no proof.

The more I think of this discussion the more I realize how foolish it is. No one can proove that a god exists, adn no one can proove that there is no god. Believe in whatever you want and don't disparage those who believe differently.

That is exactly what I think but it seems those who do believe look down on those that don't.

I believe in science and proof so to me a God is not possible.

Never would I say to a believer that they are wrong, they just hold a different opinion to my own

No one is looking down on you for what you believe. If you don't like cake do you feel that people look down on you for that? If you feel that way then you should not debate the issues because you have already lost the argument. Science can not prove the existence of God nor disprove so you can not rest your faith in science. BTW, shouldn't it be me who feels being looked down on because of my religious beliefs?

No one has ever looked down on me for not liking cake but nearly every believer tells me I am missing out on some wondrous thing, hence I feel looked down upon, which I think is wrong
