That was one of my favorite posts of the day, you asking for a picture of faith. He must believe that the pictures of Jesus are real, that's why he believes in him.

Faith is a gift. Thou who believe know it to be true.

Thou that don't no proof will be accepted.
God is how he/she is............
We are what we are............

Exactly. A dog is not a cat, in the same way that fiction is not a lie. As for looking up definitions.

You are a 10-year-old.

It’s like this:
1. God exists because otherwise you wouldn’t.
2. God gave you free will not to believe just as vigorously as I and many others do believe; that is why islam is ungodly, God did not make slaves.
3. It is unfortunate that people have defined God in their own image, which gets many confused about faith.
4. Jesus as Son of Man tried to set things straight but people screwed that up also for their own purposes.
5. Finally, you can change your mind and come to Christ any time, right up until check out time; I, for one, hope you will.

I don't believe in God so in your eyes I am Evil.

I think if you met me with an open mind you may have a different opinion but I don't think I know any religious people that would understand why anyone wouldn't believe in God so not a fair test.

Each to their own, neither is right or wrong as I see it.

Feel free to believe in God but please leave me to have my own ideas too :D

There are no pictures of Jesus, only likenesses. But that doesn’t matter because once most people mature beyond a certain young age they don’t need pictures to help them understand what they’re reading.

As for a photographs of gravity, there are plenty of photographs of its effects upon things and people who fall victim to it, that’s why I doubt you need a picture to convince you not to jump off a six story building.

Cleverness is not wisdom.

Is that seriously the best argument you can come up with?
You've said that fiction is the same thing as a lie. In which case everyone who's ever appeared in a movie, on stage, on a fictional TV programme or written a novel is, in your opinion is a liar.
I've given you a definition of a lie. And the best you can come up with is "You are a 10-year-old".
BTW there is a difference between a space and a hyphen.
You may learn that difference when you're a 9 year old.

I would never want to get into a futile argument on the issue of creation v evolution. For me it is a total waste of time. However, it is an interesting and indesputable fact that when intelligence tests have been carried out on large populations, both in the USA and in the UK and then the beliefs of respondents checked, it is invariably the case that non-believers score significantly higher than believers. I'm sure there must be a valid reason for this quite obvious difference.

Bangee. I am not what you would call a gambling man. But. Ask your local priest / vicar / preacher or whatever you call him, how much he gets paid. Not just in monetary terms. But including other perks like subsidised housing and the like. If you get a straight answer, I will donate £100 ($170) to the charity of your choice, in your name. The only condition is that it's not a church related charity. I would suggest Médecins Sans Frontières, but if you can think of a better one, that's your decision. I will get a receipt and scan it and post it on this site. If you give me your address via PM, I will post that receipt to you. I believe that religion is a money making business, and I will put my money where my mouth is.

You can keep your money. What do you know about the Southern Baptist? Each Southern Baptist church is independent from each other. The money collected from the church members is use to pay the Minister as well as to pay for the up keep and support of the building or buildings. The size of the churches membership usually determines the pay of the minster and his pay is set by the members. If the minister ask for a raise it must be voted on by the church members. Deacons are not paid. Depending on the size of the church also determines if the minister is provided with a home which is owned by the church. He can live in it as long as he is the pastor of that church. A car might also be provided. The pastor is not allowed to have a job outside the church since he is on call 24/7. There are Baptist Churches with a million dollar budget of which I was a member of such a church at one time. And there are churches that can barely get by to pay the minister and support itself as well because of the size of it's membership. This is how it is done in the Southern Baptist Churches. You might also know about the Southern Baptist Convention which is also supported independently by Southern Baptist Churches. This is the support the Missionaries. Southern Baptist also have hospitals and schools. It is not what you would expect from the outside looking in.

Well, you said that you know quite a few that have let God into their lives, so I assumed you would know. I was just curious how many were in this forum. (if any)

The reason I ask is because I find the majority of responses here to be non-scensical to the point of embarrassing. But I guess when you're texting, it doesn't really matter. In other words, you can say what you want because there is no real connection to the other person and no consequences.

It appears that when the subject of God, creation or The Gospel comes up there are some who take pleasure in mocking and making fun of it. And when you aren't seeing the whites of their eyes, the expressions on their faces or the nuances in their voice you lose a very important connection.(on both sides)

So, are people actually coming to The Lord or are they openly mocking and disrespecting what we hold so dear…and at what point do we say enough?

A fine example…utter nonsense!!

I think that Hal didn't mean here on this forum but in his life time. Surely people change their minds about God and accept Christ into their lives or we wouldn't have Christianity today. As for how many on this forum, mostly like none.
