Wow, what a rather lengthy thread of horse $hit.

I don't believe this to be the first time Photo guy has lodged this type of complaint. It is clear that he is very passionate about his photography of fire department events. I get that. I am passionate about the fire service as well. If you respond to his photos, he is always willing to share the story behind the photos, almost as if he is just waiting to get to do so. They definitely read with a tone of pride. I get that too. The problem is most of these stories are as boring as the photos themselves. Sorry to be so harsh, but mediocre photos of apparatus at a scene that was handled by local PD? He referenced special training for this type of photography. What? It's photography, composition and exposure. No special training needed, just stay out of harms way and don't get in the way.

I don't understand MWAC either. Your critiques are often spot on. You have helped me (indirectly through your and other people's photos). Is your skin really that thin that this one post will keep you from helping others? That sounds almost as bad as photo guy. And this coming after so many have come to your defense.

Maybe we should have a section just for posting positive. That way no one's feelings get hurt. Oh brother.

it isn't Photo Guy (even thou he does have a history on other forums of posting "ohh people are bashing me threads" ) but rather all the posts that followed saying people who give negative feedback are nasty, mean, jealous, venom filled, etc. If that is the way people on UHH feel about C&C, then I respectively will keep it to myself.

Considering the only negative thing I said about Photo Guys pictures can be found here: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-25362-1.html

If members thought that was venom filled, then it best I keep my mouth shut when I offer real feedback.

I must have missed the part were people thought your response was venom filled. But the way I see it, it's their problem not yours. I have respect for your feedback but you have to do what's right for you.

Not that I want to be attacked for anything, but don't forget I also mentioned that the 2 photos posted really didn't have any merit of any description but it seems MWAC is taking the heat, of which no heat should have been directed to anyway, because there was nothing wrong with what was siad by anyone regarding these two dark night time snap shots.

Just wanted to let you know you are not standing alone here. I think too many people chimed in with comments regarding photo guy without even ready all the posts and without even bothing to take a look at the 2 pics he posted which brought all this to bear. That is a crime in itself.

If anyone wishes to make comments on a posting then they must make themselves aware of all the facts and only then have they a right to comment, otherwise they really should stand back until they are prepared to put in the time and effort to look through everything and fully understand what is actually going on.

Okay... attack away, it won't bother me.

Thank you for your reply. I'll admit, my feelings were hurt when I read comments from members here saying if I didn't like his pictures then I must be ___________ (fill in the blank with any of the fore mentioned names). Then to read all this praise being giving to this guy, who only posted this stupid thread to get positive reinforcement for his poorly lit snap shots. He posted out right lies about having his pictures called "pure crap" and how members have said they are no good to fueled the fire and have even more people jump in and bash members of this forum for offering feedback (Myself included) was heart breaking.

I wish people would go back and look at his post and find where this "bashing" took place, or even better it would be great if Photo Guy could supply a link showing where this took place or maybe man up and said he over reacted and created this drama for his own ego.

I would like to STRONGLY suggest that we cease and desist posting any further B.S. regarding this thread and get on with why we are all here in the first place! PHOTOGRAPHY! Thank you all!

As for your last sentence there already is a section like that and it is more like facebook then a photography forum.

FINALLY DONE!!!! All over a question. WOW! I have read everything on these 11 pages and noticed that there were a lot of repeat posters that were / are upset with me. That is fine. There were some people who posted who I had already asked not to post on my listings but continue to do so. That I am not pleased about but I am just going to ignore those people from now on. Those of you who want me to continue posting, I will do so but not as much unless asked to post more. I have also made a list of all the forum topics that I started so if anyone wants to go back and see photos or articles you missed just contact me. Thank You.

Please post a link to where you were told your pictures are crap, or by ignoring my and other membes' request to do so are you admitting that you started this thread to bring attention to yourself, stroke your ego and get the positive feedback you seem to crave? In short will you admit that you made this sh## up?

please...
you've been asked several times to post those comments you found offensive and bashing in nature; you haven't.

please...
continue posting pictures but IF you are thin-skinned, please take that into consideration when you post under-exposed pictures and expect comment.

now can we get on with the regular broadcast?????

The photos that everyone is asking about the comments are from the post: 2 photos from a fire call I had early this morning (2/12/2012). Some of the remarks basically called them crap even after I explained why they were taken.

For those of you who either don't like me or don't like my photos please don't read them then.

I have also decided for those of you who think this type of photography is easy: try it for a few months and see how easy it is then. I guarentee it is not. Some areas get larger fires than I do to photograph so I don't get some of those so called pretty (or action) shots people like to see so I make do with what I can.

With all of this being said now, I am ready to move on. Thank You.
