I am wondering why some people have such a problem with me posting some of the photography I do as the FD Photographer but not hardly any problems with other photos I post?

FD Photography is a specialized type of photography that can't be learned or taught overnight. I used to assist with doing this kind of photography with a basic 35mm years ago to help a relative but now do it for a dept. with my own digital equipment. There is a ton of information that I have had to read and learn to do this type of photography. It involves more than just taking some regular snapshots.

With this being said, I would like you to hear what you have to say about what has gone on with all of the bashing or put downs that have occured over this as well as what you would like to see from this list below. Thank You.

List:

Park photos
Vehicle show photos (any size vehicle)
FD Photos
Nature / Wildlife (non park)
Birds
Other - please let me know a specific in case I don't know and can let you know

Don't mistake criticism and / or suggestions as bashing or putdowns.

Naturally, I speak only for myself:
To my best recollection, I've enjoyed all of the posts I've seen from you. I enjoy the automotive type subjects best, but not confined to that.
I believe we have lost some of the "bashers" that used to frequent our forum...so sad (sic).
Bring it on, buddy, I think most of us are enjoying ourselves, and I sure hope you are, too!
Thanks for posting!

There is a run down building in our town. I read in the paper the FD wants to do a practice drill on it. Because of you and your wonderful shots....I would love to be there and try to photograph it. I've never done such a thing before so it would be knew to me. If only I knew when they are planning it.

I enjoy your work and would say keep posting, as far as the bashers are concerned I really can't comment as I don't recall any specific bashing. Again I enjoy your posts.

I for one have not got around to caring one way or the other yet, but I guess I can decide I should, if you think it is needed. Post as you wish.

I have been reading your threads and I'm a little puzzled. I have not seen anyone bashing your pictures or having a problem. there was one thread that some felt the pictures were quite ordinary and did not represent what your FD does. That is having an opinion and not bashing.

Most of your threads where you actually post pictures have been very positively accepted. If you real the full threads of others you will find that sometimes someone says "doesn't do it for me" or "not my thing." They aren't bashing the poster--just expressing a thought. Not everyone is going to like everything you do but that is okay because you are happy with them.

So offering C&C on your images or stating that if you hadn't had made a point of saying there was a fire or even an apartment complex I would never had know what the content of the picture of was is bashing?

I hate to see how you react if you were offered a real critique of your images. On second thought, I don't think I want to.

The best way to find that out is to contact the FD and they should be able to tell you.

Whew...good; it's not just me.

Personally, I'd like to see what "With this being said, I would like you to hear what you have to say about what has gone on with all of the bashing or put downs that have occured " refers to.

Just keep posting and ignore the bashers. I think they want to make others as unhappy as they are. I enjoy your pictures. Thanks
