ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! You started all this over those comments? That was good stuff my friend, that's the kind of feedback you can learn and grow from. I truly believe you owe the folk here at UHH a heart felt sincere apology. I think I understand why you were so reluctant to tell us where these comment came from.

There are at least 2 people who kept posting on this thread who I have asked in the past to not post on any more of my threads since they were also on the previous site I was on and they are still doing it. Those 2 people will get no kind of apology from me. To the rest of you who were decent about it and not going on and on and on, I am sorry for what has gone on here. Now lets put this to rest and move on with posting and learning. Thank You.

You are referring to this thread: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-25362-1.html

Please point out where someone said they were "crap". Once again I am calling BS on your post and on you.

You have not asked me not to post on your threads, and I hate to break this too you it wouldn't have matter if you did anyway, when you try to throw me under the bus for something I did NOT do, I am going to post to defend myself and I will continue to do so.

I think you owe everyone on this board an apology for your drama/attention seeking post and an even bigger apology to those of us you tried to throw under the bus. I feel sorry for you, having to seek attention and affirmation like this.

The photos that everyone is asking about the comments are from the post: 2 photos from a fire call I had early this morning (2/12/2012). Some of the remarks basically called them crap even after I explained why they were taken.

For those of you who either don't like me or don't like my photos please don't read them then.

I have also decided for those of you who think this type of photography is easy: try it for a few months and see how easy it is then. I guarentee it is not. Some areas get larger fires than I do to photograph so I don't get some of those so called pretty (or action) shots people like to see so I make do with what I can.

With all of this being said now, I am ready to move on. Thank You.

IMO, a good photograph requires no explanation. Even after explanation they were still crap. But that's OK. I take way more crap then good. I just don't post them. Don't ask for input if you not willing to take it. No one said this type of photography is easy. It's not. Just the opposite, it's hard. Very hard. From the technical side, fire apparatus is adorned with bright, blinky lights and reflective tape. Bunker gear also has reflective tape. This makes the technical aspect problematic, particularly at night. But at the end of the day, it really is just the exposure triangle. Your photos are just not there yet. From a compositional standpoint, capturing the feel of a fire ground is also difficult. Being outside the action further hampers this aspect of the shot. Training academies might offer some more interesting material (like propane trees). I would suggest a subscription to Firehouse magazine. That will give you plenty of ideas. And don't take offense to the suggestion, many here subscribe to mags for the same reason.

There are two places you can post your pics. One if you want to learn, the other if you want to beat your chest. Your choice.

I did NOT ask for C&C on the listing when I posted them so no C&C was needed. This way people could comment about them with no C&C needed. As far as Firehouse Magazine, I just got my latest magazine the other day. As far as you thinking my work is crap, just don't read any more of my posts then. Simple as that. I am trying to learn but also trying to show some of my work in case some have not seen this kind of stuff before or have done it and miss it since they can't do it any more so they like to look at the photos then.

I have asked you before to not post on my threads and you continue to disregard this. Again MWAC, PLEASE DO NOT POST ON THE THREADS I POST! You were on the other board where I was treated like dirt and you started in on me after I joined here and I will not tolerate it. Thank You

Dude you have some serious issues. are you refering to my pm to you when I realized you were from TPF:
Quote:
A word of advise, do not go on the defensive here like you did there, this is a pretty tight knit group of members, mostly older and they will not take kindly to what they deem to be rude behaviour.

so instead of taking my warning, you decided to start the same BS here and throw me under the bus as well? Well ain't that grand.

I told you in my post, I will not stop posting on this thread. You opened up a can of worms you most likely are wishing you could close right now, aren't ya?

MWAC, don't go, I'm sure all is forgiven! We all need truthful people on here, not just "Nice, I like it, great capture" types who then do not go on to say just what it is that appeals to them, which is the real helpful part.

I'm not leaving, I just will no longer be offering C&C to members of this forum. It has become obvious that members here do not think the C&C I offer is of use or even worth my time since in this thread it has been refered to as nasty, jealousy, and vemon filled. :( To say I'm not hurt by these comments would be a lie.

I noticed that Photo Guy has mentioned that he has been told that his pictures were "Crap" here on the UHH, I would love for him to post a link to this thread, it DOES NOT exist!

He is actually blowing smoke up members butts to gain sympathy and have people tell him that his pictures are great, this is his M.O. I think he is getting the UHH mixed up with another forum where he was asked to leave because he did attempted to do exactly the same thing but it backfired on him.

In the process of Photo Guy trying to gain postive feedback and ego stroking, members jumped on his bandwagon calling me names and ended up doing what Photo Guy was accusing me of doing in the first place. In this thread I have been bashed and called names.

Thank you UHH for the wonderful, truthful and heart felt post.

MWAC don't become as thin skinned as some others. After reading some of the postings here it is obvious many feel your C&C are very relavant. No need to get too serious about this you do a great service to those of us who take your comments seriously.

Good grief, cool it already!!! The photos in question were for documentation and taken under difficult circumstances. They could be of value for a lawyer, jury or a Judge, but the only reason I can see for posting them on this forum is to seek technical advice that would help photoguy produce more useful photos under similar conditions in the future. They, to me at least, have no aesthetic value at all and I think MWAC's comments were fully justified. Photoguy thinks his work is important and it is, but the documentation portion of his work is not important in the context of this forum unless he is seeking technical advice.

Now, after all that's said and done, can we please leave our egos at the door when we sign in? It's simply counter productive to carry on a thread like this for page after page. It's time to agree to disagree and be done with it!!

Hi Photoguy
I think this is quite possibly one of the most friendier photographic sites that I frequent. I have no problem with any of your photos and most of them are very good.
Firemen (women) are a special breed. My older brother was a fireman. Thank you for what you do. Keep on posting :D

That being said, I have enjoyed all of your photos. I hope some day to be able to do the same thing you are doing here in my old district.

I have information on how to get into doing it if you would like some.

I would like that. Thank you

The ego has landed. Just got my cease and desist order from fire guy. Appears he is only interested in positive feedback and has taken offense that I would comment in the negative.

There you go.

Fire guy, I believe YOU have the option to block me.
