I haven't had any issues with my Tamron 150-600 for my Canon 6D nor have I heard from other Canon/Tamron 150-600mm lens owners that have had any problems. Where are you getting this information? Is it because your a Nikon camera owner, your putting down the Canon version?
All the Canon/Tamron 150-600mm owners that have contacted me have praised this lens. No exceptions.

I, too, have had mine for about two months. Exceptional results with my Canon 70D.

I'm very glad you are happy, I'm not saying you should not be. If it were me, given the issues they have had, I would want to know all I could about that issue. But I understand the mentality that if I deny issues, then those issue don't exist. I understand they may not truly exist for you, but to deny a very well documented issue is a little silly.

As I said I too was waiting for this lens, the NIkon mount, but during my wait and research found the Canon issues. I still wanted the lens, I was making the assumption that the Nikon would not suffer the same focus issue because it was worked out in the Canon release. I would still be on the list to get it today, except they could not give a ship date for Nikon, and I have a reason to need it in July. So I went with the Sigma instead.

You keep saying "issues", the plural. I have heard of only ONE issue, and that was an auto-focus problem when tracking, with the Canon DOS 7D.

I noticed within the last 2 days Newegg has listed the ETA for both the Canon and Nikon mounts as 7/4/14.

You might have better luck at a local photo shop. I ordered mine back in Feb. from Adorama and waited 'til the middle of march and was still on back order, checked a local photo shop and they had one in stock. The demand was so high the big photo shops have a lot of backorders.

I sold my Canon 100-400 to pre-order one of these. My decision was based upon people who have them love them. they are having any issues. I have read all the material i could read about this lens. I feel that it is a good lens for the money. If your so worried about the problem go buy something else. it isn't like like your spending 13K for it. All my friends that have them have no problems, two of the friends use the 7D

Interesting discussion. I did copy/paste Haydon's link and it worked fine. Yes, there are focusing problems on some Canon cameras. The one constant seems to be that the center point focus is the only one that works, if at all. Please read for yourself to get the most objective reports. Regis's photos are great and spot on focus. 6D seems to be one of the lucky ones. Cheers.

Regis and I are in the same "camp" with the New Tamron...

I have had No Issue(s) with the lens - and get surprising images in RAW... I have Not used jpg as yet so I do not know about that.... The focus is fast on the Canon 5D Mark II as well as the 60D... However I do get the best images from the 5D MkII...

I shall try to attach some of the Fast moving subjects....

On these photos I was using ISO 400 / f-8 / Aperture Priority.... (Shutter speeds were VERY Fast... i.e.= 1/1200 to that of 1/6400 == I did not know that the 5D would shoot THAT fast and the auto focus on the Tamron worked to keep up.)

The only thing that I would say would be an "issue" is for the fact that the "Pectoralists" will Not care for this lens as it does get very crisp captures. But what do they really know about Photography - they crave the "soft-focus" crap.

They had a lot of issues with the Canon version. I wonder if that may be holding them up as they fix the Nikon version before it is released. I have a trip coming up in July I need one for and B&H could not estimate a ship date so I went with the f4.5-6.3 50-500mm Sigma. I already have a 1.4 Sigma TC. The Lens came a few days ago
I have had no issues with my lens on my canon 6D. focus seems to work great and quite fast!

I like learning a new word every day so....I tried looking up Pectoralist and all I could find was "those steeped in cardiac emotions"
Is that what you meant to say?

I tried several times to google the above link (exactly as you have it) or web address with no success.

You need to delete the 's' from the end of the https. I did not read this entire thread so my apologies if this has already been answered.

I have not had any issues with my Tamron 159-600 either. I have mostly used it outdoors to shoot sports, I've captured some great images with it.
