It looks like that fire extinguisher is unrestrained:thumbdown: apart from being unrestrained the trunk is the dumbest place I have ever seen a fire extinguisher located in a car.

A picture is worth a thousands words. Your picture and words have me wondering.
*Don't they tell you to lock up things you don't want stolen from your vehicle, in your trunk? Isn't that his car?
*Looks like too many weapons to be carrying all at the same time. So how did you know he had them, especially out of sight in the secured trunk of a vehicle?
*All the weapons are out of their secured cases. It had to be posed. Driving around with those weapons would have tossed them about in the positions they are pictured here. Just like what one other poster stated about the loose fire extinguisher would have been a possible safety hazard.
*Hunting? Could he have been target shooting. I have had many types of guns, at the same time with me when I went target shooting, and they were in the trunk while transporting. Easier to access than putting them on the back floor of the vehicle.
* Just what case are you making with your statement and picture?

I'm smart enough to know that I don't have an answer that makes sense. It's too complex an issue to offer mindless platitudes and simplistic idiotic solutions, so I don't.
Do you really believe this and also teach math? In math the exact opposite of what you said happens. Time to rethink. Some of the punishments may have been harsh, but the old time values were not. Problem today there are no values and those that have them are ridiculed for suggesting that something should be done. Society back years ago had mores (pronounced mor-ays) and proper behaviors that were expected etc. Society was not over regulated or situations over analyzed. Law suites were not a common part of a solution.
Today a public school teacher cannot even speak harshly to a misbehaving student for fear of reprisal. Many car tires have been slashed etc. That is what these people are trying to put across, that too much is done and too much is not done.

"Corporal punishment is sadly lacking from our society today. If we publicly flogged violent criminals, with the promise that repeat offenders would get even worse the next time, I bet recidivism would be near zero."
Now here is probably a Muslim advocate who wants Sharia Law to prevent recidivism... it works(???) in Iran and Iraq why not in the United States of America?
You are, obviously, another of these pseudopsychologists who thinks that you can attract flies with jam when bulls*** is best. And, for your information, I often wonder if the god of the muslim religion is really the same as our Christian God. He would NEVER advocate killing infidels, or treating women as chattels. Surely those are the devil's teachings.
Even Dr. Benjamin Spock admitted he made a mistake by suggesting ending corporal punishment on miscreant kids.

You are the problem.
Exactly!! If these kids received a swift spanking (for the small-ells, this does NOT mean a maiming) when they did a no-no, they would not reoffend AND they would learn to respect authority, just as we did as kids.
What happened to "Scenario 6" ?
