Great shots, Sylvia! Beautiful cats, and the snake just added to the experience, tho I'm glad you weren't bitten!
Always appreciate you stopping by Treepusher and thank you for your comments. I'm very pleased too!! I was surprised with the picture of the Wild Cat when I downloaded it, obviously light shining through the thicket was enough to make a picture.. It just looks like Ted our cat at home :-D :-D
Excellent shots Sylvia. I particularly like the wild cat, which I think is a very lucky capture. Keep up the good work, but not too much - I'm jealous enough already !!
What a trip Neco, with all your great pictures you will enjoy this for many years to come. Thank you for sharing so we can enjoy your trip also. I know I will never get to make such a trip, but at least I can look at your pictures. Bee
A few more from my travels in South Africa. The shot of the Wild Cat was through thicket, I could not see it! I laid on the floor and placed the camera with the 300 lens into the thicket. The Ranger asked me to slowly get up and walk backwards. Then I saw the Puff Adder, he said it was right near my trouser leg, no sound was heard when it appeared. He radioed for another Ranger to take it away, apparently they are highly dangerous. I quickly took a snap!! Went back to taking the shot of the Wild Cat. 5 pictures

Hope you thanked the ranger for saving your life. Nice set of shots.
I certainly did jeanbug, the other Ranger appeared with big grippers and a box and said normally he would pick the snakes up by the back of the neck, but not this one! They had not seen a Puff Adder in their area for a long time, he was taking it for a ride to release it further away from people area. Pleased you enjoyed the shots. :-D

Thank you Baz for stopping by appreciate your comments :-D I was very surprised indeed when I saw it had turned out! Obviously no flash, wasn't sure whether the long lens would get attacked. just pure luck. :-D the big cats are my passion.
