A few more from my travels in South Africa. The shot of the Wild Cat was through thicket, I could not see it! I laid on the floor and placed the camera with the 300 lens into the thicket. The Ranger asked me to slowly get up and walk backwards. Then I saw the Puff Adder, he said it was right near my trouser leg, no sound was heard when it appeared. He radioed for another Ranger to take it away, apparently they are highly dangerous. I quickly took a snap!! Went back to taking the shot of the Wild Cat.

Fantastic captures of what must have been a thrilling adventure. I do know that adders are poisonous but what a rush to even be in the situation!

Thank you Dave, pleased you enjoyed them! I do not have very many of Mr.Grumpy. I was in the enclosure for a very short time, when he started to make growly sounds the Ranger decided it was time to leave :lol: a quick couple more shots were taken, the last one was outside the enclosure, through the fence, so not very clear!

Thank you very much Sirius appreciate you looking in very much,I agree with your comment re the adders! I was told later in the day that you have 20 minutes to be given the antidote for this snake bite. Also your skin starts to die and shed :( It was a fantastic trip thank you :-D
