Joe, not only are these so amazing, I can almost see the smile on your face as you were photographing and interacting with your RTH. I bet you were actually laughing out loud, which might account for his quizzical look. To paraphrase John Muir, "in every walk in nature, you receive far more than you seek". And thank you for sharing these experiences.
Carla, I sent these to you and Phillip before I posted them here but my server returned them, again. Some go through but others don't. I think it's at my end and not yours.
As for the shoot; I was grinning when I crept to within six feet of him, to remove two interfering branches. None too quietly either. I was expecting a nasty look but instead got him looking over his back at a Blue Jay of all things.
John Muir was so right. Every day is a gift. This morning was no different. I was with three other photographers and we were all grinning. I'll have to post them soon and you'll see what we saw.
Thank you so much for being so generous with your superlatives. It's always appreciated.
