A true "What you have is better than what you want" story. I was driving from Michigan to Long Island for a family wedding which I was also going to photograph. Since I was making the trip by car anyway I decided to photograph lighthouses along lakes Erie and Ontario on the way. Rain storms dominated the weather the whole trip and actually made for better photos (in my opinion). Almost every photo trip I take, and I take a lot, nothing is ever what I thought/hoped it to be but the bad weather usually makes for great photo opportunities.

You're suprised that it's overcast in Oregon?
Try moving up here to Seattle!

There's your sign, fellow photographers!! Let that be a lesson to you all.
I learned a long time ago to follow your gut feelings, and always be prepared.
This applies to life in general, not just photography.
Keep that camera handy, with fresh batteries and spares, and always have 3-4
spare empty SC Cards, etc. in your gadget bag. Happy shooting!!

It's because of the guardian angels you were issued.
Some of them have a morbid sense of humor and some of them make life easy.
Murphy's law was written by the humorous angels.
I have a lot of those comedian angels assigned to me.
I hope I don't become one.
I must have the same ones. :P
